1987 was the last year for those generation Chev & GMC half ton & three quarter ton reg cab pickups, but the one ton reg cab pickups on the other hand were still in production up through 1989, & same with the crew cab pickups & SUVs except they stayed in production up through 1991

That sure didn’t look like fresh paint and chrome. Buffed out maybe. And as someone else pointed out the wrong steering wheel.

Correct steering wheel....late models assembled had them...seen several original trucks with them...

Because GM redesigned their trucks mid-year 1987, the new line continued the C/K designation while these trucks, the previous generation, were christened R/V. So, 2WD versions would be R and 4WD versions, like this Chevy, would be V -- as in V10, V20 and V30.
