This has been a fantastic and fun project overall. I wanted to make a cinematic restoration video of this process. I will also be uploading a more detailed restoration video like my other videos later on.
The lapidary quality of this unnarrated short makes it very special, as well as showcasing a superb restoration. A long-form version would be a perfect complement to it. Thanks for all your videos.
You are truly a gifted individual. I enjoy your videos. Nicely done. As I watch with envy, I grapple with a pristine 1952 Stromberg Carlson Television, with a Dumont tube that was restored in 2006, but only recently lost its picture. It's such a pity and I'm not sure what to do. Sigh. Keep making videos!
The cabinet work is always my favorite. tvs are off most of the time so even if the TV is broken the cabinet is still what you're going to have to look at all day. It makes such a big difference. You did a wonderful job
Brilliant video!! Wonderful job on that TV!! Never liked the ending of that episode of the twilight zone, all that guy wanted to do was read books, and when he gets the chance, it’s taken away….
Nice video. It’s really too bad we don’t have OTA analog television anymore. I wish I could just turn on my restored 1956 zenith super royal space command console with just a pair of rabbit ears and without the use of a modulator.
