I recently bought a 1967 Rawson 30 with my friend Jake and we've been slowly doing some restoration to breathe some new life into her. Here are a few time lapses I took of the process, which includes oiling the teak rails, painting primer and top coats on the deck and starting the non-skid paint.

Enjoyed watching the process. Music was cool too (even better when I read the comments and saw that it's your own music). 1 vote for leaving that interior wood as it is. Don't hide the beauty!

Yeah, we're so glad we kept the wood as is. We saw some pictures of a Rawson 30 online that had a really clean look to it - with white painted cabin walls. But that would've meant we'd have covered up that beautiful wood work. Happy with our decision! Thanks for watching (and listening!)

Thanks. It's such a stout boat! You can tell they were built for the heavy Puget Sound weather.

She's a beauty! Rugged, tough cruiser. I notice many have an added bowsprit. Do you notice excessive weatherhelm without one?

I've seen some with added bowsprits, too, but I haven't actually noticed any weatherhelm effect without one. She's a heavy boat - probably 13,000 pounds - but she actually sails quite well close to the wind unless it's a light wind day.
