This video touched my heart, Tyson. This shows what an incredible friend you are, as I already know. As the owner of my deceased mother’s Legend, I know what a special meaning a car can have. Jason, thank you for your part in this car’s restoration.
For some reason my phone screen is blurry as I post this. Oh, wait! It's because my eyes have tears in them! Awwww you're so in tune with life and why we are here -- which is to enhance the lives of those with whom we associate. Well done, again! Your attention to every detail does not go unnoticed. I am so proud and blessed to have you as a son. ❤
You are a great friend. This was really cool to watch. My mom, Kathy, passed away in 2019 at the age of 48 very unexpected. Her last car was a 2017 Accord. It was weird coming home to visit and not seeing the car in the driveway anymore. I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for that generation Accord in white.
This is a feel good moment. She's smiling up in heaven. Wonderful tribute for a wonderful woman with her wonderful car. You're a great friend and enthusiast.
Beautiful story & another beautiful Acura lives on. My dad had a '74 Chevelle Malibu Classic. It was the car I learned to drive with. I'm sure the car wasn't special to him, but it was to me. In 2012, months after my dad passed, I located a clean '74 Malibu Classic in North Fort Myers, FL., with 54,000 verifiable miles and clean. A retired gentleman who purchased it from his elderly next door neighbor 20 years earlier in Ohio. My hope was to repaint the same green exterior & reupholster the interior to match. I held the car a few years but at that time the cost was too overwhelming for me. I was desperate to hold on to or enhance my memory of my dad. I was satisfied I did and let the car go to a disabled vet in NJ who wanted one of these since he went off into the army and his parents sold it while he was away, not knowing how much he loved his '74 malibu Classic. I felt I did right by the car and you did as well. Nice going Tyson.
This was a beautiful story. You're a good man, Tyson. It must have been an emotional moment for the family to see the car again. God Bless Kathi. Thank you for sharing this with us Tyson.
What a kind gesture from you to Kathi's family and her. She smiled big time on ya from above! Very cool restoration. The amount of work/time this all takes... Way to go buddy 🥰
What a nice gesture and tribute for the family. No doubt her memory lives on. We have a 2000 RX300 my mom drove. It's been in our family since new. My mom passed a while ago but just seeing the car still brings back memories.
This was a fantastic story - absolutely awesome to see this car and its family reunited. The body shop did a great job, too - the paint looks seamless. Great story!
I've always loved the first generation TSX, it looks so timeless in its design, and I'm glad you wanted to preserve the car for years to come on behalg of a good friend. I'm sure his mother, if she were still in this world today, would appreciate her TSX still in flawless condition. All the hoops you went through in order to preserve this car was amazing, and such a good friend that you are to want to preserve the memory of a family member. For those who have never driven a TSX, it is one of the best entry level Acura sport sedans you can ever purchase, especially this first generation. People like Tyson are examples of why Acura cars are so great, and why people should show more appreciation to their vehicles.
Bro this is so dope man!!! Some folks dont understand how much sentimental value come with these cars, but Thank God for somebody like you who understands it, and has the ability to restore those feelings and memories by restoring these cars. Great job Bro fr I can only hope to get to this point once Im financially in position 🙌🏾
Great story and memorable thing to do for your friend and his family with an Acura theme! Your cinematic camera work is on point.. Well done my friend!!
Hey thanks, I wanted to put some extra effort into this one, and even spent a long time finding the right soundtrack. Hope you are doing well my friend.
Cool, just subscribed today. I’ve been a Honda guy since the early 90s when my buddy had a 91 CRX Si and he showed me how much abuse that could take without breaking. I currently have a 92 Civic Si hatch with half a million kms and a tired engine,a ‘14 civic coupe 5 speed and a near mint 01 prelude, leather interior,5 speed. My wife drives a nice 05 Acura TL that I bought her 8 years ago. My Prelude has to be close to one of the last ones ever built because it was built in October of 2001 which is very late in the model year. Hello from Vancouver island British Columbia 😊
Wow that is so cool!! I think we can all concur that you are good friend. The boys over at Apex seem to have some pretty chill music, Even a little bit of Hillsong In the mix there. Super cool that you get to see all the work they're doing behind the scenes!!
What a beautifull story and tribute to Kathy's 2006 TSX. I had the same car myself in Europe as a Honda Accord. It was such a great car and fenomenal to drive. These cars are ultra reliable and have a great chassis. I regret to having sold it 10 years ago. Now I want one back but they are not easily to find here in Europe. I really enjoyed this video as it brings back memories to my own Honda Accord.
The TSX with it's K-Series motor and great suspension is very undervalued, or a super value depending on how you want to view it. Great job saving this one. If you follow any TSX groups they seem to be dying out due to accidents quite often and not because of mechanical failure.
Both Rick and Benjamin Orr of the The Cars are no longer with us which highlights just how short our time in this world really is. This is an awesome episode on Tyson's channel. Thanks for sharing, Tyson!
Awesome story Tyson! Only you could have pulled off something like this, that means so much to your friends family. I would say more, but I'm a bit too emotional, especially since I lost my mom back in 2014 as well. Good vibes to you Tyson!!! And, thank you for sharing!
Tyson, heartfelt work all the way around. Great restoration and awesome reveal! You are right when saying that the Acura/Honda community is a big pat of hobby. Cars with history are just that more interesting. Thanks for heartwarming video, you made my day!
I would love to have a tsx. Buy one for myself locally. But video creator's locale doesn't seem to have winter. Would you guys trust a 15 year old car from Maine or upstate new york? (I'm afraid chassis is hard to inspect.) Generally, how old is too old in the rust belt?
