Dude, that diffuser with that exhaust looks incredible. I’m glad you tightened that up. It’s clean.

The little woopty doo on the exhaust is a cool piece of engineering, it bounces an exhaust frequency back to the main flow based just on length of that pipe and it cancels out the unwanted frequencies that cause drone.

That bit on the exhaust you pointed to is called a Helmholtz Resonator, and you were right, its purpose is to eliminate drone. I have an exhaust with one of those on each side on my STI and it's amazing how it just deleted the drone completely(compared to R400).

Speaking of small details. 8:30 in here you can use an acorn bolt. Maybe a titanium to be extra. Then, on the long bolt part that you use to adjust the alternator, you can go with a long Allen head bolt also titanium. Best bet is to find the size for the intake manifold, throttle body, alt and related. Then buy a bulk of whatever size because you can use them in many many places not just one engine bay ;). I went to McMASTER-Carr for bolts but there’s plenty of others…I used stainless and acorn bolts to cover stud rust and to look clean. Mine engine bay isn’t anything like your engine bay so titanium was too extra for me. But in your engine bay? Yeah it’ll look clean clean!

It's referred to as a Helmholtz resonator, and yeah it will cancel out certain frequencies and kill drone as long as they did the math correctly. There are some calculators on the web to figure out the frequency range you want to cancel. They work really really well.

Use the heat disapating cerakote. On the intercooler. Don’t use regular cerakote it holds heat

try gloss over the highland bronze some time, it looks great!

A bit late now, but if that's the stock starter there is a pretty cheap upgrade. You can pick up a 2kW / 2.7hp 2004-2008 RX-8 high torque starter and swap the nose piece over. There are some assembled ones you can buy too, but it's easy enough to swap it yourself. Really helped with getting my FD to start having the extra RPM.

Do you also do your own cerakote? Maybe do cerakote and powdercoat diy videos in the future?

Hello yes question! Could you please make a video on how to e-tune? For example… I’m currently tuning my 11 sti with my Cobb AP and I got that whole recording down, but my tuner keeps saying I’m not doing it right and I can’t find a video on how to do it correctly. The instructions he sent are as follows… “When you reach a safe place, do one full throttle pull starting from 2000 rpms in 3rd gear and stop at 6800 rpms and make the shift into 4th but do not keep pulling. “ so what I’ve been doing was just going into 3rd and pressing the pedal to the floor till the engine red lines then I shift. Please help!

Correct that is a drone eliminator pipe. Couldn’t tell you how they work since every rig I have doesn’t have one the Cummins 5” pipe has the worst drone IV ever heard. Deafening loud..

You can just find another duck with chicks and the mom will adopt it.
