It's the next day now, and I have read all 600 comments believe it or not 😂 I'm surprised at how overwhelmingly positive everyone has been and I feel a sense of community again, it's been extremely refreshing! Also, a big thank you to all the new Patrons, I've honestly been in freaking panic mode with bills, and this helps ALOT, even if you become a free member, I appreciate every single one of you! 💚

although it may not have as many views and not be as huge of a build, i personally enjoyed this video just as much as the mega builds. I think most people would prefer more frequent uploads in this style rather than long waits between uploads

The whole trend of building bigger is coming to an end, I think. We're seeing it all over the place. A lot of creators are starting to make classic let's play videos like Etho did way back when he started. We're going simple, relaxed, and laid back again! I'm loving this trend.
@RosinaEmilyW
@RosinaEmilyW 3 месяца назад
I definitely agree. It’s one of the reasons why Grian has been really successful this HC season. He’s having a ton of fun. I think this trend is because a lot of the og gaming video viewers from 2014 are adults now and prefer calmer content. While new, younger, viewers are coming, there’s now a significant adult viewership for the gaming scene, which there wasn’t before. Unlike cooking videos as an example, since a 10-16yr old might be less likely to watch them compared to a gaming video. Most of us have, after all, grown up while watching our favourite creators.

I think a video about how you detail builds would be nice. Maybe one that goes over your building style, how you decide on gradients, and what a building should look like. I often find myself trying to mimic some of the techniques others use like gradients, but I can never get them quite right.
@srensen3081
@srensen3081 3 месяца назад
practice practice practice as for tools, i believe there is a gradient generator for minecraft blocks use that to get the general idea of how you want your gradient to look, then try to incorporate it into your build eventually, youll find that youve gotten way better at gradients

Jeracraft, I love you. I play Minecraft for almost 13 years now and I hate that most of the creators just following trends and trying to catch the next hype. Going back to the roots and doing some smaller and more detailed chilling builds makes your channel stand out. Its soo relaxing to watch when there are not 1000 jumpcuts and dramatic music. Please continue your great work. Best regards, A true fan of yours since many years!

i love the smaller, more relaxed videos! you have obviously given much thought to your situation and how minecraft build content will always funnel into bigger, crazier builds, which then lead to a burnout. And while i do enjoy these kinds of builds, it can feel exhausting. i have found to take more appreciation in the smaller, cozier builds, as they usually are more detailed. But most of all, i wouldn't want to watch someone exhaust themselves in workload, just to see bigger, more extreme minecraft creations. So let me just say, no matter what, your content is absolutely amazing and still will be, regardless of the size - as long as you don't overwork yourself :)
@limeddasch382
@limeddasch382 3 месяца назад
As a fellow builder, the whole "getting carried away" thing always happens to me as well. It's stupid, because you end up just completely overreaching yourself, for not a lot of benefit. However, looking at it once you're finish is great though.

I have always loved your style of videos. Honestly these days it feels really rare to see people that make minecraft builds, to put little stories and nice fantasy elements in their builds. It all feels like a copy pasted version of "I did thing but big!" So I think even your bigger projects feel really refreshing.

Hello @Jeracraft I've started watching your videos a few years ago and was especially fascinated by the project "Kingdoms of Greymane". With every new episode I thought that the build was acctually alive and the people living there would help expand the world. I love your eye for detail, like everything has its own story and special purpose. I've also enjoyed your server-project to bring a world even more to live with real players who can explore your custom map, build civilization and write history together. I personally would also enjoy a more frequent upload-rhythm and see your builds grow. Go on and build the world you want!

Also, I just want to say this because I never do: Everytime you stop yourself from getting completely carried away, I always just want to see what it would look like if you let yourself get completely carried away. I imagine it'd look somewhat like the server, just pure scale and madness and level of detail?

Compared to what you normally build this village can be considered simple It’d actually be fun to see you make some tutorial videos and some more simple builds like this one because even though it’s not one of your normal giant builds it’s still fun to watch and you still find a way to tell a story with it

There are a lot of good suggestions in the comments already, and one thing I'd really love to see from you are some different building styles - your fantasy stuff is really great, and I'd kill to see how you'd tackle a more Sci-Fi styled structure! As grand as the large builds, landscapes and epic structures are, "smaller" builds like this village (which is still huge by most peoples' standards lol) are so much more detailed that I actually prefer them. Make the content *you* want to make! Keep experimenting, keep creating, and I know for certain I'll keep watching :)

I honestly miss the old days, back when you used to use that texture pack and make building tutorials for castles barracks and so on. The OG KoG days. I hope this video gets some views, you are absolutely right about content having to meet a certain standard in this day and age when in the past it wasn't even required to edit videos. Many times I found myself stopping a let's play because of the amount of work it is to edit videos, I just started a playthrough of a modpack and didn't see myself spending 4h editing every episode... And it still works, I get some views and people are happy I'm not "one of those that make everything epileptic or overedited". Just find your balance and don't think too much about what others will think, minecraft content pioneers showed us that :)

As you tried to keep it simple - I always had this wish that some of your builds would stay a little bit more empty/hollow before adding giant lights and so. I still love all the crazy details and ideas you have dont take me wrong, but maybe you could build a landscape or cave, with like a empty, moody vibe. Like a dark souls themed build in which the emptyness and not the deatils catch the viewers attention. Also happy to see another video, right thing for an evening relaxation.

I don't really care for minecraft in general but I've kept watching most of Your videos for over 5 years already. good quality content and genuine personality that just create this nice blend of sensational content with some humanity so it doesn't feel like the videos exist solely to maximize views

First video I saw from you and I watched it with my mouth dropped. For about a year now I have been working on restoring villages around my world same way and this video is a great inspiration! Excellent work!

Hey Jeracraft while watching this video, I got an idea for you to do, the idea is, every bit of that world you can transform it into a peaceful space like what you did to the village and since the world is big enough, you should also Collab with other builders so they can add onto it so you and them can create a whole custom world map and slowly add onto a story if you’ll like, like Genshin or Etc. Would love to see that happen to be honest!

I 100% agree. I like the 100 Days stuff, and "I survived 10,000 days in ULTRA MEGA HARDCORE" compilation vids, don't get me wrong, but I also miss the days of a just a simple RU-vidr, with a mic.. punching trees and idle chatting about what they're doing both in-game and IRL. That being said, I also miss the build tutorials of simple stuff... like, I am astonished and inspired by the mega builds, but sometimes, I'm just looking for an idea for a medieval or other regional style blacksmith shop that I can use (often times, with minor tweaks) to put into my own survival build.

What if you make a series where you build your kingdom with a lore and some twist to it? That would be cool. Or how about you join Hermicraft server?

Very well done dude, the amount of small details is what I really like to see.

Awesome, love all your videos. My favourite part has always been all the smaller details you add, so this video has been one of my favourites.

smaller feels achievable for the average player, you went in with all your builds but this feels more like a build that regular players can do in personal survival worlds! keep up the content but do what you want to do with the channel! W video.
