Hello Michael. Nice intro, and this should be worth a watch as you go on. Quite a big task after a six year period on the ground. Hopefully the hangar was dry, as the biggest concern probably as you'll know is going to be corrosion. Obviously I have no idea what you are expecting to find and how deep the pockets are of the restorer, but an engine sat idle for this amount of time is unlikely to be in good shape, unless it has been properly preserved. The airframe also is going to need a good look at, and you will know how good spares availability on these types is or is not. Wishing you the best of luck with your project. looking forward to following along!
Hello @EtiRats, Good to hear from you and thank you for leaving a very thoughtful and understanding comment! I don’t want to give too much away, as that will be the subject of the next and future episodes 👍 However you have touched on many relevant points, and we are constantly finding ways to fund the restoration with Yorkshireman shallow pockets! Watch out for the next episode and I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Michael.
