The time and effort to take this piece apart, sort out the broken parts and then reassemble is probably more than that taken to produce it in the first place. It would be a fantastic thing to see the look on the persons face who originally built it to see it being restored, to think that their work was appreciated enough by another to bring it back to its former glory ... awesome 👍

At least the cat inspected your work ethic and didn't cave in like the dog! I imagine that other Inspector will get a paw shaken sternly in his direction. Bit to dark,but your woodworking can’t fault.

It's hard for me to believe that the base is original to the table top. So many nails were used to attach the skirting but so few to attach the legs make me think it was two old tables married into one at some point. Awesome save!! Thank you for sharing!!

I don't think the base was original to the top. The wrong style, for one thing. And I have to say the top looked more like oak than ash. But you certainly have saved another ruined table from being chopped up for firewood. Well done.

Please, I don't know what is considered "restoration" in your country, but what I have seen you do in this video is NOT what I was taught about restoring furniture.

IMHO you have some of the most impressive content on RU-vid. This isn't it. This looked like a destroy an antique table and rebuild it because I need a video. It LOOKED good in the end but I wouldn't call it a restoration. I love your channel, it's why I'm subbed but this wasn't up to your normal standards. Anyway I hope your doing well and I eagerly await the next video.
