This video shows how we restored an old and rusty crescent wrench. The gear was partially seized and hard to move and the original bluing was long gone. We went for a conservative restoration because we don't particularly like the current trend of taking old tools to make them look brand new, often times replacing parts instead of repairing them. Each tool has its own history, we just wanted to give this wrench a new lease on life instead of making it look 100% new.

You're not supposed to restore old wrenches, the rust patina is what makes them beautiful xD

​@@dan.g LoL If you just wanna "use the tools" you're better off buying a fucking new wrench than wasting a day to restore an old rusty one. Unless your time is worth nothing, that is. You can get a new and shiny one (a good one, say a Beta) for 15€.
