Another triumph. A testament to skill, knowledge and a real pride in achieving perfection. As usual the owner can keep this piece of furniture for years knowing that it is stylish, strong and clean thanks to you. Well done David. Daisy always makes me laugh out loud: she is such a character with so much happy enthusiasm. Also she is beautifully kept, see how her eyes and coat shine. I could go on much longer singing her praises but I won’t. Already looking forward to your next posting.
I love it! I find that "utility" pieces -- built for function -- often have the most character. This one turned out particularly nice. Thanks for sharing.
Daisy is so adorable! I love how she ignores the “old” cork on the floor by the cupboard and insists on a new one! ❤ Excellent tip on the glue syringes. Thank you! As usual, a beautiful piece of furniture after your work - lucky subscriber customer!
As always a very satisfying watch David - result is immaculate. I really love your attention to detail, it shows through in the fantastic result. I'm so glad to see lovely pieces being restored and given a new lease of life.
Hey David I accidentally left you a message on someone else's line. And I think I called your dog the wrong word lol. We love your videos. Staining the dove tails is absolutely beautiful! My wife recently created a shelf for her sister who is retired and lives on the property. They went to the lumberyard had them cut the size or router the edges for her and she stained And polyurethane and painted the shelf brackets call her self! It turned out beautifully! We love your tremendously! 🦴 keep giving a video of Daisy!
It’s an elegant little piece and most things went right this time David lol. I love it when you talk to Daisy. I can hear the love in your voice and I totally get it. My D’Nozzi means the absolute world to me. He’s my best friend, my confidante, my comforter, my soul mate. He’s 13 this month and I worry about losing him someday. He’s my rescue baby and first ever dog. Every morning for 11 years, I’ve awoke to a wagging tail and cheesy grin. It’s the best medicine ever. I don’t know what I’d do without him. Have a good week David, I look forward to your next project as always xx
Hi `Lyndsey. I totally get it, they’re not just digs they are all the things you have said. My last cocker spaniel was 17 when she passed which is a great age but not long enough. All we can do is enjoy every second with them. 😀🐶❤️❤️
Hello David, loved your little Infomercial about the history of Utility furniture 😀, they last a lifetime and beyond they are so well made. Seeing the little side/console table turning out so beautifully after your fantastic restoration was a joy, a master of your craft. As an aside, i also loved the stained worktop, you were working on, it would make a fantastic table with all the stains on it, varnish it and it would look great indoors. Well done again and hugs and kisses for Daisy. ❤
Aww thanks so much for your lovely comments Kate and also for your Super Thanks. I really appreciate your support and it’s great to hear when enjoy my work. Thanks again 😀🐶❤️❤️
Absolutely gorgeous 😍 so much better with the lighter stain it allows the beautiful grain to shine 😁 The brass hardware was a delightful find and sets it off so well 😊 Daisy and her corks 😂
Hiya, you are so kind and generous, thanks so much for your super thanks. You’ve been with me right from the start and still leave such great comments. I really appreciate your continued support. 😀🐶❤️❤️
Hope you Emma and Daisy enjoyed your holiday. What a lovely little table, beautiful colour. Daisy is sooo adorable 😊😊😊. We are in the north west like you and my husband is distraught, his lawn has yellow patches like yours!!! Possibly too much rain? Good to have you back.
I have had similar yellow patches twice before. Once it was caused by the dogs food producing acidic urine, it was fine when we switched food. The second time it was a lawn grub, which meant a treatment of spray from the gardening shop.
Another beautiful piece of furniture given a new lease of life. She looks all shiny and new. BTW: Don't tease The Daze 🤣. She probably took your clamp end as punishment. "I'll teach him. Biped".
@@MayfieldRestorations I've watched all your videos. I am always amazed by your talent and dedication. Daisy is adorable. I love her fascination with corks.
Hi Dave another great job ,the hardware came up lovely, and that top corner repair fantastic,I particularly liked the tip on the hide glue, the little blower is great were did you get that….
The old finish came off easily, but for those runners for the drawer bottom, a little denatured alcohol and steel wool would have been a simple solution.
Eu fico emocionada ao ver o móvel pronto e comparado com o "Antes". Hoje Daisy fez o pedido e depois de saciar com as brincadeiras e dar umas voltas na loja, foi descansar em seu berço.
The table looks lovely, but that brass handle is all wrong. My parents had a lot of 'Utility' furniture and it all had wooden handles. You can see that brass one is a replacement, but it's too big for a start. Anyway, it's not mine, and all in all, it's such a useful piece of furniture. Well done - take care 🙂
Don't be so sensitive. It is not negative comment to point out differences between the subject at hand and original furniture. Nowhere in the comment was it stated that the content creator substituted the original wooden handle with a brass handle. He also added that it is up to the owner to do with the furniture what he wanted to do.
@@furniturerevivalist9812That’s right. Comment was made respectfully plus it was pointed out that original utility furniture had wooden handles. Most of us in the States have no idea about the deprivation that folks in the UK had to endure post WW2. The original wood one may have cracked and fallen off after many years and was replaced by who knows who. I think we can all agree that the refinishing is outstanding, as always. And that Daisy is such a little card!
This Sweet Old Thing got a Complete Mayfield Restoration Right down to It's Bones! Warm and Beautiful! That Owl Sure has a set of Lungs on Him! Maybe He Swooped down and Grabbed that Missing Piece of Clamp! Cutie Miss Daisy!
I love utility furniture! I’m fascinated with the British home front during and after the war-so much hardship endured and ingenuity to cope with those extraordinary circumstances. Thank you for bringing this delightful little table back to life!
You excelled yourself with this restoration. I love your honest and informative commentary. The piece now looks like it just came off the shop floor … only much better. I eagerly await your next video. 🤗🇦🇺
From very tired looking you’ve made a very ordinary piece look very grand. It was a very nostalgic watch for me. Took me back many many years to gran’s house. Love it and I’m sure your client will too. Xx
I hope you all enjoyed your break. I like the teak on the oak, it leaves a bit of age on the piece. Also like the colour contrast when the drawer is open. Have you found the piece from your clamp yet?
Haha little Daisy does the same thing as our doggo. Ours is obsessed with empty toilet paper rolls. Running after them when you throw them. Sits and waits, tail wagging when it's on a table. Comes into the bathroom and searches everywhere for a roll😂
