I forgot the bug pic… you can see it in this video (also the haul video of getting Kailey)- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9ZTEeuL3Umo.html
i’m always scared when restoring an AG doll like there’s so much to look out for to not ruin them 😭 i think your kailey turned out so cute and pretty!! 🫶🏽
Oooh I’m such a sucker for doll restoration videos 😍. AG dolls are honestly indestructible which makes them all so fun to restore because like you said you can make them look so much nicer! You did a great job with Kailey!
You should be so proud! You did a great job with her. She’s gorgeous. Your video has me thinking about getting a Kailey of my own. You convinced me to get Lindsey with the one you posted like years ago haha.
My childhood Molly doll could use some fixing up lol 🤣 I used to wonder why almost all of the dolls my mom bought me had short hair until I recently saw my Molly doll and what a rats nest her hair became 😭😭 I was even considering sending her to the doll hospital but now I might be able to fix her up at home!
I always use a magic eraser to clean limbs, it’s easier than using soap and a toothbrush. Then I do a pass with rubbing alcohol to sanitize her (not on the face). After that they’re clean and the vinyl so soft. I always let them dry outside in the shade.
I had just bought Josefina off Ebay for 24.00. Her hair was so frizzy & knotted I couldn't believe it. This method of boiling water and dipping the hair in really takes care of the problem. Her hair is now soft and smooth & looks like a new doll. I had also washed her hair in baby shampoo and used a conditioner. It does work!
I've been getting my dolls out of storage and been doing videos on my channel and I'll be doing more videos of me restoring them from destaining them and deep cleaning them along with sending Gabriella to Doll hospital her head got squished sunk in on one side. I've debated on fixing her myself by pouring boiling hot water into her head or blow dryer to heat up the Vinyl to pop out the squished Caved in spot on her head and then get a new zip tie
What type of toothbrush do you use for cleaning AG dolls? I found an extra medium toothbrush i want to try using a toothbrush. I use magic erasers to clean my dolls
@@xCanadensis no I didn’t soak the cap at all. The hair in the back is now like less than an inch long and looks like it just broke off or something. It wasn’t like that before I dipped it
Are you sure? AG wigs have rows of very short hair all over the wig cap in order to disguise the color of the cap (or something?). Perhaps the hair got very parted and out of place when you set it after washing? Was there a lot of hair in your bowl/sink?
@@xCanadensis there was actually none in the bowl that’s what was confusing but now you can basically see all the rows and there’s like very little hair in the back that’s long, it definitely wasn’t like that before so I’m not really sure
