I love those classic five-slot wheels! I just bought an 88 F250 4x4 that sat in a field for the last seven years. I'll be using this method on the wheels. Thanks again for another great video!
Good job man - I would only add that 00-00 (the finest) steel wool will give a nice finish after sanding, and that you must be careful with a sander not to take off any metal that might unbalance the wheels. But thanks dude. Keep up the videos and cheers from NZ!
just Bought some 15s deep dish centerline razor aluminum rims for my 92 gmc,I love the older type rims,I'll be doing this method to polish them, thanks brother
I have used Diamond rock hard clear coat on ford aluminum rims and it holds up really well, makes them easy to clean with a buttery smooth finish... Pricey around 25 bucks for a pint 40 for a quart , but the protections is worth it, as the little abrasive estuaries created from sanding can create areas for brake dust buildup etc... Nice job, they look good!
i had five slots on my 69 gto./ looked amazing , i did a restore on the rims during the winter months ./ i used different sand paper from 100 up to 2200 wet dry , and then used autosol fallowed by mothers mag polish .. when i was done they looed a mile deep . in my opinion looked better than chrome.. but then again thats my opinion
