выпускается компанией Micro Genius для российского рынка. Он был выпущен в 1992 году компанией Steepler. Dendy была самой популярной игровой консолью своего времени в регионе бывшего СССР и пользовалась известностью, примерно такой же, как у NES / Famicom в Северной Америке, Японии и Западной Европе. В 1992 году Dendy продавалась в Российской Федерации за 39 000 рублей [1] (примерно 70-80 долларов [2]). Всего в России и других постсоветских странах было продано 6 миллионов единиц консоли.

Funny you mention that. My brain immediately recognizes the theme as running a bit slower than what I'm used to. Probably a PAL vs NTSC thing.

2:05 I find it interesting that it appears that there is what looks like a cartridge PCB inside of the console that might be the multi cartridge the console boots up to? Much more interesting than the newer nes-on-a-chip clone consoles!

While the og famicom wasn’t the most handy system,but it didn’t stop companies to make their own famiclones,sure those famiclones don’t deserve to be restored but seeing them getting restored is still amezing.

This console had a lot of memories around the world, many bought it in the 90s for its cheaper price compared to the original NES, so I restored it because it had beautiful memories for some people. But it does not compare with the original NES. Thanks for watching❤️

@9:39 You can see him cleaning the internal cartridge that sockets in, under the motherboard. Does your unit have that cartridge slot "Y" under the motherboard? If so, you may be able to slot in your own built in game, without the cartridge case, of course. May be worth checking out. It would be nice to have a clone console with Super Mario Bros. 3 built in.

@@AtariBorn No mine did not have the cartridge down but it is exactly the same except for the trim on the back Of all I got to have things like this that had 76 games without repeating, I have never seen Mario 3 in such old clones but Polystation if I have seen it or in NASA

@@funtendo3935 What I was getting at is, of your clone had the empty slot on the bottom, you could put a bare cartridge in the slot and have SMB3 as a built in game. If you don't have the empty slot, then it's obviously not going to work.

@@resEG В Денди никогда не было встроенного картриджа и материнская плата такого типа 8:08 в Денди не встречается. Думаю это оригинальный Famicom Nintendo которого в России до сих пор нет...

Tengo las 2 originales (famicom y nes) y mas de 30 famiclones. Ninguna de las famiclones se jodio. Se encuentran totalmente funcionales. Aclaro que tienen 30 años o incluso mas.

That is not true "Russian Dendy", that is random Chinese\Taiwan copy. Originally brand dendy named consoles like "Dendy Junior" or "Dendy Classic" from Steepler Company (made in Taiwan).

You are right, Pegasus is a video game system by Micro Genius. It is a clone of the Nintendo Famicom that was sold in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Poland, and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the early to mid-1990s.

Retro brighting is not restoration, it's bleaching. It effectively ruins the plastic. It even makes it more brittle over time. I don't understand why there are so many videos of people claiming to restore old video game consoles and all they're doing is placing it in a bath and washing it. This isn't restoration, it's cleaning.

Glad to see that somebody restored not only original consoles but even old good bootleg chinese Dendy. It is very impotant part of our russian childhood memories. In 90-s in Russia we never heard about NES or Famicom, it was only Dendy or cheaper "bootleg bootleg" various chinese 8-bit consoles.

Nice video, excellent handling as always. Only one question.. It's my impression or the gameplay of SMB feels a little "slow" on this fami-clone? I remember had one console of this kind ("creation" model NTSC) and SMB always ran at normal speed.

It’s an NTSC rom on PAL hardware, that’s why it runs slower. The actual PAL optimised SMB has music that’s faster than the American version lol

Well now thats interesting. The music for Mario sounded like it was running exceptionally slow, however the gameplay looked to be the correct speed... Strange! Great restoration as always though!

Definitely slow. Gameplay too. Mario's "slide" wasn't noticeable to my eyes. Probably a voltage thing?

@@grandmoffpuppeteer no. The Famiclones from China are made for PAL TV systems, that have a frequency of 50 Hz. The original Famicom from Japan uses NTSC (60 Hz), is a difference between TV color systems for region. You must use a CRT TV that can change the color system or a European TV.

Yes I know, it is famiclone , A famiclone is a colloquial name given to any clone console of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), known in Japan as the Family Computer or Famicom. They are electronic hardware devices designed to replicate the workings of, and play games designed for, the NES and Famicom. Hundreds of unauthorized clones and unlicensed copies have been made available since the height of the NES popularity in the late 1980s. Thanks for watching 👍
