Touching the mud walls that older generations made is always a powerful feeling. Many young Japanese people on RU-vid are renovating their mud walls in the same fashion as their ancestors. Some mud being reused is over 200 years old. Amazing. It will certainly be a lighter area once the old toilet is gone. Mmmmm tempura snacks and beer . One of my favourite Japanese meals.
Great team work for the day, I liked the way you arranged the items you moved. Sometimes we keep things we think we need, I go back every few years and ask my self why I'm still keeping it? Keep sharing as I enjoy see a young couple working together for their goal... 👍🏼🔨😎 A helper = a two inch magnet on a string (3 feel long) as you can pick up nails and screws that fall on the ground much easier...
The Portland Oregon Japanese Garden uses tiles like that to line the edge of paths. Stand them on end interlocked just like they would be on a roof, only they are vertical. You can dig a trench deep enough for all but a few centimeters to stick up. Or cut them into 1/3rd and line lots of paths.
