That’s a great idea as well! I went custom origin as I had a lot of trouble fitting even more feats on the list. If however, your dm gives you a free feat at level one no matter your race, that would probably be a more powerful option.

​@Prince Phantom I don't think that gift of the gem dragon gives enough. I think that half-elf, taking elven accuracy, tough, telekinetic, and fey touched, and either lucky or resilient wisdom ( not necessarily in that order) would be stronger. Telekinetic pushing yourself out of melee after you booming blade attack is a great combo. This way you can use a longbow at low level play, before the first cantrip scaling. I don't think War Caster is necessary. You could use your Tides of Chaos to gain advantage on Con saving throws for spell concentration. Plus you already have proficiency, and as far as opportunity attacks I don't think you'll need them if you're Booming Blade for most of you main attacks.

@@simeonreigle2940 well, doing that we would miss out on extra sorcery points from metamagic adept. I personally do think that war caster is needed because of the weapon and spell juggling plus the fact that tides of chaos won’t always be available to give us advantage. At most it can give us advantage on something about once per round, and I want that advantage on my attacks. However, your concept for the build would definitely still work out just fine and be a very effective character.

@@cavernsandcreatures I would like to point out that in addition to Simon's suggestion of half elf I prefer going Sorcerer 18 Wizard 2 for evocation to make the melee fireballs centered on self into powerful party protected nukes
