Well, Biden made a mistake when he appointed twice loser Hillary Clinton to his campaign. I don’t see how you can appoint someone who lost to that orange clown to the top of your campaign strategy. That’s literally the worst decision anyone is his campaign approved yeah let’s leave our reelection strategy to the women who lost to Trump in the easiest election ever. If Trump and his followers see they are ahead in the polls and then Biden wins they'll be screaming that the election was rigged. Of course they'll do that anyway. They are already saying they won't accept the results unless they win. Please people do not fall for Trump's lies again. Remember the violent insurrection on January 6th. Remember Trump pressuring Brad R. to find him 11,780 votes. Remember the stolen documents, that Trump refused to give back, that Trump lied to the FBI, that Trump hid the documents from the FBI. We still don't have all the documents back. Remember the fake electors schemes Trump put together in the swing states. Remember Trump's team broke into voting machines. He did all that to stay in power after he was voted out by the people. Trump shouldn't even be able to get a security clearance with all the financial problems he has. Our enemies would love to buy an American president. Trump should never have our nuclear codes. Vote Biden/Blue. Save our democracy. Save reproductive healthcare/IVF/birth control. Save Social Security/Medicare. Tax the rich their fair share.

I ended my subscription to the NYT in 2015 during the campaign. What they did to HRC was savage and false. When I lived in NY my morning ritual was coffee, toast with a piece of cheese and the NYT. Their responsibility in getting trump elected is huge.

He's insufferable. I like MSNBC but when I realize that a video is from Morning Joe, I normally don't even bother watching or close it again right away. Every now and then I do try again, and pretty much every time, like this time, it reassures me that I don't want to watch these. The only exception is when Joe's off and one of his "underlings" are allowed to lead through the show. It's so much better then!

First to comment. I commented on another platform that I believe this poll to be an outlier. Trump supporters are oversampled. No other poll reads like this. The media should stop reporting on The NY Times Sienna poll and investigate why this poll is not like the others.

The other thing about polls these days is that you have to expect that the people willing to take a poll are likely a specific subset of the population. You have to ask: who is willing to take a poll and do they have a specific leaning? Angry and agitated voters are more likely to be willing to take the time to voice their opinion.

I think this is a reflection of the fact that pollsters are reaching the same pool of respondents - people who will answer polls. My thought is that there's only a rarefied group of people who will actually respond to polls, no matter their political stripe, and these people's views are stratified. Also, consider the question of if these respondents can ever "represent" the average American - if a large majority of Americans would never, ever answer a poll, how then are we to take the views of a small group that WILL as the actual direction of the electorate?

Back when I was in graduate school getting my master's in library science, my professors would tell us that the NYT was a "newspaper of record". Today, the only thing you should use NYT is as a very expensive litter box liner or bird cage liner.

Those numbers were so wildly unbelievable but that didnt stop CNN from blasting it all over their airways.

It's my belief that CNN and the NYT are basically partners in this shell game - I defended CNN at a point but even the people I liked there seem to have sold their values out. Say what you want about this network but at least you know whats opinion and whats news generally. NBC and CBS are also partners in this ongoing crime, im just going off the appearance of their public actions.

A poll is not an election. They sample a carefully (in theory) selected representative sample of people. Do look into how a poll works. It would be astonishing if you did know people sampled in a poll. I live in London and know one friend who is regularly polled.

NYT/Ipsos poll - 407 RVs, 6% margin of error. That’s a ridiculous attempt at a “national” poll. Always pay attention to how many people, what group (Registered vs Likely vs Adults), and what the margin of error is.
