By the time I got this Sears Tele-Games Hockey Pong system made by Atari, it was already in rough shape. Time to see if it has any life left in it! Music track is "Righteous" by Silent Partner (from RU-vid Audio Library)
Thank you .... after all those years i got to see my first Video Console again... even after watching this short sequence at "hockey", i remember why i hated it: it was almost impossible to have fun with it, as the ball always went through the padels. to make it playable the 2 player games world need different paddle/ball colors for the 2 players on screen. so i endet up playing just the single player squash (as it was called).
The terminal connections of the power plug were (from hole to end) negative, positive, and positive from battery pack. Inserting the plug disconnects the lead from the battery pack
This makes so much more sense looking back! Thanks for the correction, that switching ability seems like a pretty clever design now that I understand it.
Very cool! I just found my late grandfathers system, is there any converter to rca you know of out there that would allow you to hook up to a modern tv?
Neat! I hope it still works! If your TV has a coax input, I recommend getting one of these: www.showmecables.com/f-type-male-to-rca-female-adapter?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgorAsY_-7AIVDvDACh2PlwRVEAQYFyABEgKcmPD_BwE Otherwise you may need to look into an analog to digital converter box, which unfortunately can be a bit pricier.
