Good to see K-ter-tot again! I remember watching this build from the beginning! Hard to believe it’s been that long ago. I remember showing all the car guys at work this insane creation!
I specialize in those EM2 generation. Fun car, but limited with the McPherson geometry and the D17 (can do stuff with it, but by the point it does anything just K swap it) This car is basically an RSX. My personal recomendations: - Replace all bushings (control arms, motor mounts) and sway bar links, wheel bearings - If you are getting coilovers, over a 2in drop you will want to get the drop ball joints and steering rack riser adapter (as well as change an internal part of steering rack slider to billet or machined plastic) - Whiteline makes offset bushings for this to adjust the geometry. - Upper strut tower brace can make a big difference - if it hasn't been done on the clutch change (exedy has decent option and lighter flywheel), lightly bevel the transmission input shaft, or it's a real pain to line back up, notoriously so. - if you stick with the D17 you can swap D16Y8 cam/rocker assembly (mild work on Y8 intake) and some rare cam timing stuff, it can get a bit spicier but still get decent mileage. You go to a 2 lobe VTEC - stuff with the shifter pays off nicely too (sometimes takes a bit of honing with solid bushings) - Rear wheel disc conversion is super easy. It's just EP3 stuff. - There is a differential available for this as well. It makes this car noticeably underpowered stock because of the traction difference when ya stab it. - And up to a 205 is about the limit of tire size til ya gotta do some more bodywork than rolling inner fender
Great to see you again, miss you and Cletus stuff but still love seeing FP.,Look forward to the golden retriever endings as well. Keep it up brother you do make great content and a little spiritual tid bits thrown in is a nice touch.
Awesome happy to see another video from Fasterproms!! I think he's at Keith's Pit Stop in PA this week doing some tuning if anyone needs that or anything else done. Between Jeremy and Keith they'll help you out!
I hate to hear about your struggles/down in the dumps, brother. You're a good dude, and I know it probably doesn't help but God only gives his toughest battles to his strongest warriors. You can do this. We appreciate the content and the fun times, and I know you got a family that loves you dearly. I'll pray for you brother. In the meantime, definitely appreciate the content. Word of advice from someone who is in EMS and has to deal with struggles(both personally and with co-workers) though if you'll take it. 1) Don't hold it in or just grin and bear it. Let that stuff out to someone, man. Break down and scream or do whatever you need to. 2) Do not just 'go through the motions' hoping that happiness will come back. It won't. It's scary, but in those times you need to make a change and try to chase what actually DOES make you happy. 3) Trust in God. Find like minded people and dwell with them. 4) Therapy works. Don't underestimate it.
I remember when this car was being built as a burnout car. To compete and burn out rivals. I hope one day becomes the burnout car. We all know it can be.
cant wait to hang out! See you and Keith soon.I hope Brady can contain him self on the surron/telaria. Christian is looking like his old man by the day. Its such a blessing to hear your words of wisdom
I still talk about the smart car to this day! How are you doing, Jeremy? It’s Danny from R&L Muffler. Glad to see you’re getting the smart car back up and going.
Hey man I’ve definitely thought about a number of times. I forgot the name of the shop that s why I didn’t reach out but you still have my number right? It’s in the video. Ring me up sometime good to hear from you.
FINALLY a first page update!!!!!!! I for some reason thought you killed the project eventually after you flipped it (i cant remember if that was after the roof vent fab) ive waited SO LONG to see this again. Get Emila to race this vs Pronda one day! Kyle and Wyatt and the boiz need to lend a hand too!
About dang time Katter Tat is back on the channel. You, Brent, and Kyle need to get back together for another colab. This time with a new shell and a lot of mayhem.
I don’t know what you mean by saying nothing. Throughout the whole YT career my family has had to be juggled for time as this take a lot of time to do. There has been much making up for lost time as my kids get older and trying to spend more time with them. I do what I can when I can.
@@Fasterproms1 that was not to be taken as an insult. I meant it to say you have a gigantic audience that enjoys your knowledge about cars and I believe you have an incredible opportunity to help shape and inspire the next generation of gear-heads (and tuner-heads). Thanks for sharing your incredible knowledge with the rest of us!
My son has a D17, it started as no VTEC, then swapped in a VTEC, blew that up and back to no VTEC. Now it's been swapped to a manual. When it was VTEC we wired it in. Can't remember what ECU pin but it's stupid simple to wire in for VTEC!
