I was lucky enough to buy an ‘88 Banshee off the showroom floor and suffered zero regrets. In order to ride it I had to install wider handlebars and move the clutch to the right side because I lost the use of my left arm in a accident on my 1975 Yamaha Enduro. Spent years out at Dumont Dunes in CA, and there was nothing the Banshee couldn’t climb. Even with all the hard riding, it maintained it’s new look and awesome performance. This video brought back many fantastic memories. Many thanks!
Hey man, Love your videos and the Banshees you build. I fully rebuilded one years ago. End result is in a video on my 'RU-vid Chanel'. Back than it was already hard to find parts for them over here in Europe. Only thing that makes the hairs in my neck stand straight as a mechanic... is the moment I see you banging in the new bearings and seals in the engine cases with the plastic hammer :O :O :O they have tools for that! Well, besides that keep up the good work. I love seeing you keeping the 2 strokes alive.
DMX & Camron came with different energy! Proper legends, good music choice as usual Panza 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾....... Edit* 90$ entry though 😮 inflation destroying us rn!
Awesome job! I have a ? I restored a 98 banshee,when I Rev it,then let off throttle it shoots a flame out of right pipe,not a pop but a flame spews ou,ran fine before
I’m rebuilding my old warrior 350 right now, waiting on shii from powder coat. It’d be really cool to see you rebuild one, many parts are the same on banshees compared to warriors
wait that chrome grab bar that oem on 1988? mine has the same, and i know a friend has a 1998 banshee and his is grey and flater then mine. i tought mine was after market grab bar but ur has the same...
Do you have your next build picked out yet? And have you had any requests for 2004 Cherry 🍒 🍒 .. I would love to see one built. Love the Cherry 🍒 Frame and with your touches add some more Cherry 🍒 color to it tobmake it pop would be fire 🔥
My dad had an 87 blew it up twice first time he bored it out and put better parts in it he had dg pipes on it. the second time he didn’t have time to rebuild it so he got rid of it
ah i was sure that the engine number was the number i was made. mine is 2gu0 310xx ish 1988 i do love my 1988 banshee, oem gold rims, oem dunlop 1987 tyres... i dont run them they are in the house in a corner cause those 1987/88 tyres u wont be able to find ever... i do need oem front plastics... i dont have them, i bought some cheap blue repainted black with decals plastics for 50€ (front and rear and radiator grill) but it has cut plastic cause the guy had a 21L fuel tank that i should have bought but i didnt have the 50€ extra... just dumb of me. i dont know why people hate the J arms sure it sucks cause no cheap extended A arms, but overal its fine for driving, im not a mx racer i dont do jumps so i guess they be fine got the bike seized for cheap, i mean cheap for then 1600€ and i got new crank + piston and redone cylinder (1 size over) all for 1600€ of a friend who didnt have time to redo it he wanted it to work now and was impatient toke me 1 year to start to take it apart. my oncle toke cylinder off already they were water locked, pipes full of water the crank was in a S shape poor banshee had a rough time but didnt get used much i mean oem tyres... for that years is rare i would say paint was fine. all seems stock
J arms have a tighter turning radius in the woods.i got two 87 j arms red and white first year with gold weels I will put on you 3 k each, one was mine one was my dads trying to get a 4 door rzr
