Actually, it’s Fanatics laughing all the way to the bank. People have to realize Topps only exists in name on the box only and it’s Fanatics that owns the business and calling the shots.
Watched this video half way last week. Still saw some topps chrome on sale at the local wally mart. Opened four blasters. Two numbered cards /199, a wander Franco short print, and redemption purple speckle auto all from box 2. Box 4 - mj Melendez short print silver auto. Not bad
JABS just found a treasure trove in a small town walmart. Got 4 fat packs of 2021 prizm 8 bucks a pack pulled a silver wander and an auto of Mitchell White also got a blaster of series 2 topps pulled the ichiro SP. fun morning
My brother and I pulled an Aaron Judge Heart of the City RED Refractor 2/5 from my walmart retail blaster here in Oklahoma! Odds are 1:187,000. I'm a lifetime Yankee fan and have been watching Judge chase 62 every at-bat, couldnt ask for better timing! It was funny because my brother opened one of my packs and didn't know it was the RED /5 so when he handed it to me, my eyes got huge seeing the New York in Red and flipped it over to see 2/5. I'm not a wealthy collector and only really afford maybe 1 hobby box a year on Chrismas and the occasional Walmart retail blasters for fun. So let me brag a little haha. But wanted to share because of how much the moment with my brother meant to me and pulling my guy.
I have opened a bunch of 2021 update from target and I have had a auto every box this made me sad I have a case coming and I’m a little worried now. After watching this I’m going to hobby/jumbos
Superfractor.... 1/3.9 million packs.... SHEEESH !!! And just to make a point.... We ALL know exactly which "breakers" will get these ever elusive "silver packs".... Don't we !?!?!
This is cool. But man....I like when you break like 1977 Topps.......and stuff like that. I think a great idea for your channel man.....would be do a short video a week opening a pack of 1970's cards. How many sealed packs of 1975 Topps are there left. You have to consider....doing a video per pack......and milking it for all it is worth is worth it. People will watch a pack of 1975 Topps being opened till the end of time
I literally went to Target and there were 3 fresh boxes and I resisted the urge to spend about $112 on 3 blasters. They never have any good inventory like Chrome in the last 18 mos so I can’t believe I left them on the shelf. This video makes me feel like I walked away from a small disaster😅
We need them to come down. Maybe this will do it. Average people can't even participate in this hobby any longer. I'm not paying $8 for a pack of baseball cards that I wouldn't be able to sell for a quarter ten minutes later. The hedge funders running Topps need to be chased into another "investment."
I cant believe I pulled a Spencer torlkerson purple redemption auto out of a retail box. Maybe I should stop cursing the vendor & stop thinking they are on the take
I ordered 2 Hobby Lite Boxes of Topps Chrome last Thursday overnight shipped. guess who's still waiting on them to ship. this will probably be my last time ever buying Topps Products from Topps Online ever again. what a mess of a scandal this release. Great Video Jabs as usual!
I took a shot on a blaster yesterday. I didn't get any big hit but topps issues with packaging with this worked in my favor because half the packs had 5 cards instead of 4
I ordered 2 blasters of this and regret it. They haven't even shipped and I wish I could just cancel them. The fact that there are none of the big name SPs and autos/#'s are so hard to come by...I'm just not feeling it at all for this product. I love Chrome, but these are already more expensive than last year (and that was a huge jump in price as well). $35 may not seem like a lot, but these used to be $20. Then they were $30. They keep going up, but the quality control is going down. Maybe I'll buy more of these when the prices drop a bit, but until then I really think this product is awful. The designs and look of the cards are great, but way too many off-centered cards. Luckily retail doesn't have a million roller marks/scuffs, but overall I'm just not feeling Chrome at all this year. I'm going to hang onto my money because that's the only way Topps/Fanatics will change for the better.
I think it’s crazy you paid a $1000-$2000 idk what you charge you’re customers for this break but big breakers are getting cases of hobby for $200-300 a case there probably getting blaster cases for $75. This is sad there killing the hobby from within there will be another crash coming very quick because of Topps alone. Soccer is the only thing that holds in value
Stryker broke 40 blasters and ended up with 5 autos and a BUNCH of #'d cards and 2 negatives. Pulled a /5 Sherzer a Bichette /50. I don't get how insanely different this break and that break went.
Topps gets a grade of F-.Terrible price point.Topps is bleeding our bank accounts and our blood dry before they leave the business. They don't care about the collectors just the " investors".I'll buy the complete sets only until we say good riddance to them.
Glad I waited on pulling the trigger on Chrome.... yikes.... I think I'll wait and buy some random lots for cheap on eBay..... Wondering if there will be a Stadium Club Chrome release this year....
Can't believe how dry the first 2/3 of those boxes were. I just watched a break of 40 blasters on another channel and that had a LOT more going on re: numbered cards. I suspect that one was an especially lucky run, likewise this was an especially bad run; truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Anyway, I'll gladly pick up a few blasters here and there. I'm not set building, but if I'm going to throw a dart to try and hit something fun, I'd rather throw a $35 dart than a $300+ dollar dart, lol. That's IF I can find Chrome in the wild-I only just found some Series 2 for the first time last week, so I've been hurting with being able to find stuff to open.
Wow, even with retail, still a heaping pile of garbage. Maybe someday Topps will catch on and realize they’re ruining the hobby by just overproducing and overcharging for junk. Anyways on a positive note as always a lovely video Jabs at least you make looking at these trash bags pleasurable
I usually set build Chrome, but it's not even worth it for that this year. There are only 2 or 3 base cards per pack due to inserts and unnumbered parallels, it would take about $350 worth of blasters to get 220 base cards and you'd still be missing some because of dupes. Not only that you'd only have about a 33% chance of getting even one numbered parallel. And the auto checklist is so huge that even if you're lucky enough to pull one, there's only a 5% chance it will be one of the bigger ones. If we weren't already in the junk Chrome era, then we certainly are now.
See pee uh. Aren’t the numbers on the back…like usual. Gotta tell ya, by opening all this product, you’ve saved me a lot of time, effort, and money. Hard pass. I will let somebody put a set together in a binder and buy it from them.
Topps really thinking this prices will keep their sales high 😂 I hope i see shelves FULL of these boxes and never sell out. Only the consumers can push the companies to put down their prices.
