One of the most subtle but memorable parts about this mission in particular is the subtle heartbeat in your ears right before you jump out of the building onto the airfield. Back then Call of Duty didn't really personalize its protagonists so to hear that even your character was scared by his heartbeat was just something that I remember
It's nice episode short movies.....but really I'm saying that in reality.....the person who is the head and killing more den 100 man ....can go front and just shoot the enemy...I don't think so this will happen in reality I gve 100% gaurantee
People say that this game does better than movies and show the real horrors of war. Yeah sure but when I play it, I don't see it. I just feel like they over-dramaticized the "war" part.
There's no way the creators could give you the real war experience, especially in this battle, 115 degrees, no water, an environment reminiscent of "Dante's Inferno".
@@jasonsabourin2275 -You are weird like so many Young today. Art and creating something special used to mean something. Now every young person thinks they are special just because they exist and its their God given right to win X factor regardless of talent.
@@guylawrance2216 I kind of hope that maybe you misunderstood my comment, I've read Eugene Sledge's book multiple times(lost it, and bought it many ×'s also) and just recently read R.V. Burgin's (Burghin?)book also, And like I believe I related in my comment there is just no way ANY war movie can truly relay combat, I believe the makers of the PACIFIC did A very good job as far as the physical FX, especially in the age of CGI their recreations of the canyons, and landscape of the Umerbrogal ridge were as close as anyone could get. To me it's very difficult to recreate, and relay the feelings in combat, especially in the Pacific, it was not A "Romantic War" setting, and background like in the Atlantic, part of the reason why"Band of Brothers" was so successful was that the areas of combat were near, or in populated areas giving the all viewers more of an everyday (besides the war) person feeling, where as the Pacific had pretty much straight combat "you shoot at me, I shoot at you" so heavy emphasis had to be put on things that aren't talked about or shown in most war movies, going to the bathroom in combat, not having any drinking water, those are difficult subjects to relate to viewers. THE PACIFIC is the first movie series to truly give A genuine first hand perspective,(it's not the best, but it's the FIRST) but I think many people still didn't get it, that's probably why people should just read books still. I'm still confused as to why my comment seemed to rub you the wrong way, I thought it was pretty straight foward, truthful, honest. P.S. I'm not quite sure how to take your comment on my connection to A Certain Age Group, but I'll say this, and just hope that your comment was A disguised complement. I'm 49.
@@nepnepguythegreatestofall there is no "over-dramaticized" a war, nobody, not a game, not a movie, nothing will make you feel near what happened in WW2, you mad if you want a game to show you what a war is looks like and feels like 💀
