Hi David, Can you please create new video demonstrating how we can use retention label in conjunction with Data sensitivity labels . Will we apply 2 labels? Are we allowed ?
Thanks for your video, i have a question , during the retention period, if someone edits the policy, will it affect the files /containers if the policy has already been applied
Hello, very sorry for the reply. I assume you have likely found the answer, but moving forward for anyone else, Yes it will affect all content already in place. The policy is not dependent on when changes are made. So if I lower my retention period from 5 years to 3 years, that will affect all content. Both current and forthcoming.
David, am I correct that when you choose ' Retain items for a specific period' there is option to trigger a disposition review, but when selecting ' Only delete items when they reach a certain age' there is no such option? I guess it makes sense bc you WANT to delete items when they hit a certain age, but many users would like option to update Modified Date it make sure file is not deleted without them knowing, am I missing something or do you think it was intended this way? Great video
kind of answering my own question/adding to previous comment, if we tell the system to delete file(s) after x years, if it allowed disposition where users choose to keep, it defeats the purpose. just a pain point with a client. They need file deleted per policy, but would like to know first in case document is of importance...
Hi Jonathon. Sorry for the late reply. I have been away from things for a bit. But I'm back and will be posting some new blogs and vlogs. You are quite correct in you understanding of the other function. Because the purpose is to ensure content is gone, there isn't a need for a disposition review.
Hi Louis. I apologize for the late reply. I've been away, but am back to post some more blogs and vlogs. This is a good idea and I'll add it to my list. Thanks for the suggestion.
