Super basic tech and implementation. Tier 1 suppliers are trying to justify their worth, as more OEMs are shifting towards a complete vertical supply chain haha

That centre stalk is right out of the GM Sequel/Hywire concept from like 2004 and I love it! It's the type of clean seemless design EV's truly need!

Actually, it’s the China market that wants a screen with wheels attached. America & Europe still want some sort of driving dynamics with decent tech. Especially Europe.

Interesting that their research from ICE drivers all around the world said current drivers wanted to go the Tesla direction of big screen and less buttons.

I'm not impressed, I do not want to drive a vehicle that wants me to be as comfortable as my living room. If I get into something with wheels to go somewhere, I want to pilot a vehicle. I want my environmental awareness in tuned to traffic hazards BEFORE it becomes critical, and make adjustments safely and routinely. I'd want something that increases my defensive driving skills, not distraction or automation.

Why even bother with accelerator and brake pedals anymore? How about just an "A" button and "B" button like I'm playing gran tourismo on my x box?

This type of thing does need some good thought/research. Though not really coming into play until full autonomy is at our disposal.

I bet they don't have one line of software written for all that. CES is a "show" after all.

Seriously Jeff?! I know you are a fan of abbreviations, but please stop now! Your company is abbreviating Non-Driving-Related-Task as NDRT?!? We had a 4 Star General retained at our Silicon Valley Startup who would chew us out every time we used abbreviations! He would yell, 'Speak English"! These abbreviations create barriers to communications and are not necessary.
