I think there’s an interesting gameplay observation to be made here. There are a lot of moments when I see Leth clear the ball and I think “he’s just giving the ball back for free” because ever RTSSL series talks about not doing that. I think if asked, Leth would say “well yes but I have a plan in mind, it just works out that the defender is there”. And I think the majority of even Diamond players would say the same thing when they do. My question is what’s the difference between when Leth “clears” the ball and when a D2 “booms it away”?

Top players are really good at making a forced boom the only option. Booming is still better than taking a disadvantageous 50 and it’s probably tougher than any of us think to work around players like Rise and Vatira. Also there’s a clear lack of possession in this vid which is shown by the 16 shot game. This is the main thing that sets them apart from Leth. They held their own impressively but I bet in a best of 10 or 20 the consistency and pressure the other two could maintain would really show.
