Jeez. I worked in Saudi Arabia from 96-2008. The closest thing I've been to a local archeological site has been a hundreds year old fort in Al Ahsa. Had Saudi been more open about it's archeological past in those days it would've been wonderful to visit these. I've seen some old abandoned village near Buraidah and a certain house in Najran. I also stumbled into a pile of rocks arranged in some fashion in the desert in Ar Ar or was it Anak. But it could've also been done yesterday. I was also quite surprised about tiny fossils on rocks. Saudi had so much to offer about its past. Somehow back then people were afraid to believe that anything came before Islam.
It was narrated from Naafi’ that ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radhiAllaahu anhum) told him that the people stopped at al-Hijr, the land of Thamood, with the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam), and they drew water from its wells and made dough with it. The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam) told them to throw away the water they had drawn from its wells.
The work of the saudi officials making the cubical space looks really rough compared to the ones the nabateans made, what's insane is that the saudi officials made it using modern electric tools
@@devolutioninc one of the reasons for tourism is to explore the country’s culture, as for religious restrictions, the country is changing now, but do not expect to come while you are hoping to have sex in the street!!
@@heilme5097 i worked in Saudi between 1996 to 2008. I do not hope for sex in the street but I have seen a shepherd fuck a sheep in Arar before. See I worked there for the better part of my young life but learned little of the history if not for you tube and only when I have left. Which says a lot about the cultural norms then. There have been a lot of changes in the society when I left and I believe it is due to technology and the emerging Saudi youth reaching adulthood who have a more differing point of view from their elders. But let me ask you....why is your metric "sex on the street"? I do not measure the leniency in places I go to by whether or not I can have sex on the street.

4:21 definitely the Satan or Jin help them build that monument. Perhaps the same satan/jin that helped Soleman build His magnificent palace as was told in the Quran.
John Ames Actually, I was mistaken. Yathrib is actually the Pre-Islamic name of the city Medina where Mohammed is buried. Before Islam Mecca was known as Bekkah and/or Faran. Mohammed left Mecca to Yathrib. He was a Adnani descendant from Ismael not Qahtani who originate from Yemen. Sorry for the confusion.
@@NoorJasmine Can I ask why you made that comment if you were 100% wrong on so much? It's like me commenting on how to do brain surgery. At least edit or delete your original comment. We should be careful to be accurate when talking about the prophet.
@@ibrahimhercules9466 Lol we have 5000 years of history and our Aryan ancestors built one of the first civilizations in the world (BMAC) and Pashto is the oldest Iranian language which descends from Avestan. So wtf are you on about? You Arabs are nothing more than nomads, the word "Arab" is Assyrian and means nomad, your not even a real ethnic group in this sense.
John f healy in his book where the Nabataean the Nabataean spoke arabic but like the persian they use Aramaic for formal purposes and especially for inscriptions

The nabateans did not carve that. They may have done a little repair work and ornamental work but they were more like landlords. The nabateans found this structure and it was ancient when they found it. Stop confusing people. Wandering nomadic tribes building megalithic structures is one of the most idiotic series ever proposed. Other than the Incas building Machu Picchu or
the Nabbateans were not entirely nomadic. Petra was a huge agricultural, religious & civic center. But, I agree that conventional explanations don't account for the antiquity of sites at Petra. Heavy erosion shows much older areas predated the still largely intact sections.
