If you have to move your heavy equipment around on occasion, here is a cheap and easy way to do it. Some 2x4's, store bought 3" casters or bigger and off you go.
I just noticed the triangular piece under the lever is not screwed down. I wonder if that will help it? I'll try it and update the description later.

Oh my gosh! I spent 3 years in Morristown TN. Growing up! I was 15 or 16 in 1966/1967. Lived over by a furniture factory on a hill. Went to Morristown High School. Worked as a dishwasher at Liggett/Rexall Drug Store. Colin Talley and I bought a 1940 Plymouth (a tank) and while drunk one time hit a telephone pole when the lights just went out (elect problem) on a country road about 1 am. Ohh the memories! Anyway, like what you did to your table saw. I might do the same. Thanks for making the video and showing us your dance moves with your partner… ! Haha

I watched a bunch of retractable caster videos and this seems like the best basic design. Simple, ergonomic, easy to build and use.

Btw, I’m guessing the A&W drive in restaurant over buy the Harley Shop on 11E towards Jefferson City is gone? Us teens hung out there A LOT…haha. Triangle roof, upside down hard cardboard cone container for the root beer. And man o man were those cheeseburgers great!!! Yes yes, we had waitresses on roller-skates then. They could be ugly…but in those skirts…. It didn’t matter….wooo hooo!

Agreed - just want it to work! I used the cam method on my heavy table saw and cam-lever for my sander; both could use additional tweaking but left then at 90% functionality for now. When it came to my very heavy work bench, I needed a low friction robust system to handle the weight. I therefore went overboard using 2x6 lumber and 5/16 hardware and large hinges to support the angled caster holders; a pair on each end of the now eight foot long table. Your lateral swinging lever locking mechanism is the simple and effective solution I have been looking for. The caster support system is adapted from the offerings of Carl Holmgren on You Tube. LOL, dancing with the table saw. Many thanks and God bless!

Great, simple solution for angled metal legs on table saws. Dancing with your table saw is fine; however, I strongly caution against dancing w/ drill presses, lathes, and angle grinders. They'll leave you broken and bleeding at the end of the dance.
