Service dogs and miniature horses are the only animals permitted under the ADA to go to public places with their handler to mitigate their disability. Please do not bring your pets into non-pet friendly places. Please do not fake a service dog- this is illegal as well. Remember you're not just faking a service dog, you're faking having a disability. Penalty can range anywhere from a fine, misdemeanor, or even a felony depending on state laws for bringing pets into non-pet friendly places, for faking a service dog, and for distracting a service dog.
Certifications, registrations, and ID cards are all scams and have no legal standing in the United States. A piece of paper or an ID card do not make a service dog. The handler having a disability that the service dog was trained to directly help with or to mitigate and years of training are what makes a service dog a service dog.
Service dogs are specifically task trained to help their handlers disability. This can take years of training! Please do not distract a service dog or a service dog in training as it is vital for the safety of their handler!
Thank you for watching!!🦮✨

Thanks for sharing for what you learn. We are hopefully getting our baby in 3-6 months and will start the journey too. A real blessing from God that God brought us the perfect breeder and someone who can help us train as well as our training sessions. My husband just got a neurological disease and is having problems with mobility & balance. I also struggle with some autoimmune that I think our buy will be able to alert to as well. We will see. Husband takes priority first though. You really help show us how to do it.

Thank you for watching my videos! I plan on making more training videos, but also sit down videos about service dog laws and other educational videos as well! I hope to help people in their journeys with their service dogs or just spread awareness as well as to educate, so stay tuned for that! Thank you again for watching and I wish you best of luck in your journey!❤️✨🦮

Atlas did really great on those retrievals and on leaving the object until you told him to get it. Do you have any advise on teaching retrievals

I taught him retrievals through shaping! I bought a retrieval dumbbell from Amazon and started with that. Anytime he would touch the dumbbell I rewarded, when he finally put his mouth around it I gave him a big jackpot! Teaching a release word helps a ton as well! Which I started teaching him that from a super young age when he would play since I knew one day one of his tasks would be retrievals for me. Eventually I started letting go of the dumbbell and I would reward him for having it in his mouth for even a second for a while, then over time I amped up the amount of time I wanted him holding it. Holding the object and not mouthing it or dropping right away was actually a little difficult for him to understand. So when he would have the dumbbell in his mouth I would very very gently close his mouth around- and I mean very gently!- while saying hold! This helped him understand what I was asking of him a lot! And could hold it and release it to me I started dropping it on the floor and adding his cue word to bring it to me, and this he got the grasp of pretty quickly! Although he did want to throw the things at me sometimes- which is funny, but he eventually learned that it’s not playtime and I want him to give me the item. I hope that makes sense! Maybe I can make a video about it at some point!

@@helperpupatlas7377 thanks, that was very detailed explanation and yes it did make sense. My dogs really good about being gentle with the object sometimes she wants to shake it’s a soft thing like a sock,or,glove
