How long did it take you to do this?! And did you plan it out beforehand? I'm struggling so much. I get so frustrated and then give up lol

@swamp7child according to my switch I've spent 1900 hours playing the game 🥴 No prior planning whatsoever! I'm more of a gardener than an architect... I just build what I feel like building and it has naturally grown and evolved into this over time! I've never flattened my island, most of the terraforming is just editing the existing cliffs and river to suit whatever area I'm working on at the time. During 1.0 it was a horror island. Bill Wibbly had a haunted house. Then I saw the movie Midsommar and the island had sort of a creepy pastoral cult phase. Over time I decided that felt too limiting so it became more of a chill hippie commune with a couple creepy elements leftover! After that my main goal was just making things look as realistic as possible. It's definitely not the most efficient way to build an island though, which is why it's taken me 3.5 years to make something I'm truly happy with 😅 My only real design tip is to pack your non-walking areas super full of clutter, but leave your paths pretty open! For me, the clutter was mostly plants and natural-looking items but it just depends on your theme. And take full advantage of treasure islands so you can use your valuable time decorating instead ! ☺️

I hope you kept Bud and Shep. They are 60's/70's for sure. Bud can pass for any generation.

Haha my first island was named Eventide! I doubt you toured mine though. I think it was a common island name because of BOTW, it was the only island name I could think of, plus I did a beach boho theme so it fit

people use glow-in-the-dark stickers!! you can customize them with patterns that have transparency so people have gotten super creative
