I basically took the Desert of Desolation set of modules and this setting to create my own world. That was 30 years ago and I still use it. Love this setting.
I'm a AQ fan boy. I've been playing or running it for over 30 years now. A suitemate in college picked it up after taking an Islamic law class and was inspired to DM for the first time. He ran various modules for different PC groups for the next 4 years to great success. I have been running an on-and-off campaign for the same group of PCs for the last 22 years. Their buy-in has been substantial and generated suitably epic moments. So I'm always excited to see AQ get some exposure.
