Great tips! For quite some time now I would have scenes play in my head randomly here and there and these tips really do help with that. At some point, I realized that RJ was making me unable to do other things in my life such as work and school. By being able to focus more on the task on hand and in front of me, whether it's work, school, or my girlfriend, allowed me to focus on the present and think more about the future rather than the past. I want to send positive thoughts and vibrations to the people that are struggling with RJ or/ and OCD. I am glad that I have put a name on my mental issue. It was so hard to navigate in life with my intimate relationships and all the harm that I've created to them. Impossible for me to say, because I don't know any of the specifics of your relationship, the situation, etc. But I would say your answer partially depends on the severity and frequency of the breach(es) of trust.
Tough to boil everything down, but one step is to constantly remind yourself that your partner is almost certainly far, far more interested in having great sex in the present as opposed to reliving the past.

Just don't understand how you can refer to something you did with another woman who you left many years ago as really hot! I see my past as really shit since I met him! 😢
