Thank you for the review, this is the only deck I do not own, bc I figured all of the images were taken from his other decks (his favorite images as you said- put into one deck so I figured I have them all!!! But suddenly I’m having the itch to get it!!) I purchased The Mystic Palette & I absolutely love it, I love the card stock, I love the card stock sooo much used in mystic palette, I use all of my decks for my readings with the exception of decks that I have that are OOP from like the 70’s that are extremely hard and or rare to find. Ciro will only be doing independent decks from here on out I believe, due to the high amount of counterfeit decks, he was going to stop creating all together. But he decided to create his decks, and only sell them independently now so none of these will be going mass market (to my knowledge at least). I’m wondering if the card stock is the same on this deck, as the mystic palette…. I also have the Marchetti Tarot… beautiful deck with magenta edges. I looked on his site, and the decks say the stock is the same. But it’s definitely different. The mystic palette is actually a dream to shuffle… the Marchetti Tarot, isn’t the same when it comes to shuffling. I just wish he used a different lovers card lol!!! Every single deck I have, that one is my least favorite!!! But it’s such a beautiful deck in general.. the more reviews I watch I’m getting past it! Are these stiff and harder to riffle shuffle? I was shocked at how great the mystic palette shuffled, and the copper edging not chip off. I may actually email the website and ask them!!!! I’m sure whatever the answer I’ll wind up buying it now either way!!! I just never felt I needed it. I don’t need it! I want it!!! But I guess that’s how it is when you own as many decks as I do!!! Lol’
such a gorgeous deck, I LOVE his decks, and adore the fact that he has kept so many from my all time fav Divine Legacy - I do miss my High Priestess and my Magican and a truly LOVE that he included those new cards and the 3 of swords....so super solution to chose or keep both in. Same with Faith and Hierophant. I missed some of my favs in the cup suit and pentacles.....10 of pentacles and 10 of cups are so amazing in DL. Visually these are so muted and beautifully designed...I do however prefer more boldness in the colours and is why DL spoke to me so loudly that I ordered several handprinted when they came out. AND also they had different colours on some of them....i was so impressed by then so Im sold
the deck is beautiful, particularly for the silver gilt. For books, did you read _The New Tarot Handbook_ by Rachel Pollack? Have your fellow Tarot readers discussed it?
I have not read this particular book. I do have her 78 Degrees of Wisdom, A book of Tarot written by her and I love that book as it is one of my frequently referenced books. The Tarot community that I am a part often recommends her as an author to refer to along with Benebell Wen's Holistic Tarot. I really like Rachel's writing. So if you are looking into her works, I would trust her directions. I looked at the description and I would think it is a great book for people to start with without being overloaded with too much information as you begin to learn the meanings.
