The proper ending to Volume 9 that will be part of Volume 10 in the future! Timestamps 00:00 Intro 05:00 Reaction 19:24 Discussing Characters 20:00 Discussing Glynda 20:35 Ozpin 21:13 Oscar 26:43 Raven 28:13 The Future
An epilogue that broke me emotionally. I have no words for how beautiful it is. This shows that there are people behind it who love RWBY and that it deserves a chance to keep the show going. Never forget: "Remember her message".
Really liked to hear your talk on oscars character imma just leave my thoughts on Oscars fate just for discussion i think Ruby has to lose Oscar mirroring the way Salem lost Ozma (and it doesnt have to be romantic, just narrative parallels) my idea is that they would be able to split Oscar and Ozma after the merge, but only the Oscar before he met Ozma (and Ruby, etc.) Ruby would accept losing her connection to Oscar (Keep moving forward) because she knows Oscar has a chance to live his life Unlike Salem’s selfish desire to bring Ozma back, Ruby’s would be selfless, (and then Salem would learn the purpose of death so and so) I kinda just like bittersweet endings lol
if Salem had gotten the Relic, we would've known, it would suck setting up Ozpin making the Crown of Choice extra hard to find and never find out what he did. personally, i think we'll get 2 volumes in Vacuo before the final volume being them going back to Beacon in a race for the crown
20:50 You mentioned how it portrays Ozpin as not knowing about the Everafter when that is not what was said. Ozpin does not know what happened, BUT the Everafter mentioned that they left multiple connections to get to it. That means prior to [relic of creation genie name] creating portals, there already existed ways to get to the Everafter from Remenant. It is still possible for Ozpin to know/have been to the Everafter especially with how often he must have traveled the world when he was reincarnating; all that would mean is that he did not know that falling in the interdimensional space between portals leads to the Everafter.
I have a theory that only makes sense for one possible answer for Oz to actually have known about the EverAfter. If Oz was actually Lewis in one of his lives, he would have told the story of Alyx with all the hope and the positive spin that he always puts on people’s journeys and missteps. Otherwise, I don’t think it’s possible Oz knows about it since the Brothers didn’t tell him about it. I’m not sure Jinn can tell him either if she was never given that knowledge by the brothers. They created the relics, so they could only give her answers to the finite amount of information they possessed. I suppose there could be other answers, but that requires us to stretch outside what has already been given to us in the confines of the canon so far.
I had already considered everything you said before you said it. And largely, I still disagree. It's possible, but if Ozpin had any idea the Ever After existed, he would have posed it as at least a possibility. But he did not.
Glad there was more to this then what was shown at RTX, and glad Salem has more or less already gotten the Vale Relic, less backtracking and more time for the final battle. I hope we get at least one more season where they wrap it up. Even if its rushed I prefer that to leaving the show in limbo
Even if someone had thought of asking Jinn, 1) She's in Salem's possession, so they'd first have to get the lamp back from Salem in order to summon Jinn. 2) Cinder asked the last question, so they'd have to wait 100 years (give or take depending on when the first question for that century was used) in order for Jinn to be able to answer them.
I don't care what Jinn's circumstances are or how it would affect the plot right now. That was not the point. I was only thinking of what broader possibilities there would be for Jinn to know it on a grander scale.
I loved this! It'd be great if you started analyzing the show again in the future! You've definitely got things to say that should be shared to the wider community! Any reason you didn't consider pausing the episode during your reaction? It seemed like you had a lot to say but couldn't do so 'cause the animatic was still going, hahaha!
@@SharksGamingCorner As much as I know they're good animators, Dillon's tweet feels icky to me, and there's no way in hell he has the money to buy RWBY anyway. I believe wrote it for clout/to promote his studio fully knowing no such deal would happen.
I still think Winter wears black mascara as an unconscious identification with Ironwood over her father. Be interesting to see if she stops doing so going forward and we see the natural white of her eyebrows like her siblings and mother.
Dang it - Now I've GOT to see another volume. How much does production cost? I'm willing to have a naked car wash to raise enough money to get it done if necessary! (BTW - I'm an old fat gorilla IRL).
The crew would appreciate it if you had $8 million to spare LOL because that's how much Volume 9 was projected to cost. (Barbara Dunkelman shared some stats on reddit once.)
You say the narrative forgot about Piettro and Maria, but it forgot Tai even harder. Also I feel terrible for Weiss. Ruby got “Remember Her Message”, while Weiss who fought just as hard got “Don’t Come Back”
Yes, it is far. Its future will heavily depend on what studio picks it up and what they are willing/able to do with it. I appreciate that you ask this, but you ask this under every video I make and people answer you every time. If something changes, I will make a video to let you know.
That's an interesting theory. Though there seems to be a naming scheme. Aside from Raven, The thing that the maidens had in common was that their name matched their powers. It was pretty meta with Cinder Fall getting the Fall maiden powers and Winter getting the Winter maiden powers. As for the Spring maiden, not sure how Raven's name connects to Spring but her decoy, Vernal's name represents spring. I wouldn't be surprised if Summer was the Summer Maiden LOL. Mainly because she's MIA and they never mentioned she was KIA. Perhaps Ozpin still has a few secrets up his sleeve even if he claims he doesn't know of Summer Rose's past plans....maybe. But maybe you're on to something too.
