Hey guys, I’m Rabea. I'm the lead guitarist in Toska, Frog Leap & Dorje where I write music, make songs and have a great time with my mates. apologies for this video going down. there was a couple things to change, so it was re-uploaded. Regarding the length of this video, I was so utterly inspired by the pedal I wanted to cram in as much playing as possible. This video sold me, jaw on the floor quality. Seen other videos but finally saw this one and man...this pedal can capture one’s soul and hold it in suspended animation until expanding into layers of contrast and color the likes of which have been rarely experienced by the human ear. Perfect.

The quality of this demo video is absolutely crucial. I remember back in the 00's how I would always have to blind fire when it came to buying touring pedals. Thank you for doing such an amazing job and showing the function of the unit with such beautiful music.

Hey Rabea...I have the TC Alter Ego (you must know it...it's really the Flashback X4, but with old school delays)...and I love it for it's excellent reproductions of a variety of tape delays...so I was like, do I really need a pedal like the Volante? I've seen other demos, but none have shown the depths of this thing and what it can really do...or one can do with it! Inspiring indeed! Now I have to sell some pedals and get this thing! LOL Thanks man!

Fabulous ! Liked and subbed, sir. I really want/ need this machine, but I already own El Capistan, Deco, and Flint, so... ARRGGH! The first thing I want to do with this pedal when I get it is to replicate Metallica's Blackened intro. I Gonna play the original line (reversed from the album), do the second guitar, go into the infinite mode, and then reverse it to get the album sound

Can please some owner tell me if there is a compression on the repeats? Becaouse analog tape delays did compress the repeats when in wrong condition and when the player played a lot of notes. And can I get enough volume on repeats even with the rec level completely off? And if there is he compression, does the rec level do that when rolled up?

This is the best demo on the Volante I’ve seen so far Rabea. Its really handy to visualise those secondary functions, saving/not overwriting favourites and the infinite sound process. Only had my Volante for a week so this is a great reference. Was so close to getting the Empress Echo and so stoked I waited for my new all time favourite pedal. Awesome demo mate and amazing sounds as usual.

I just got mine and I believe I already overwrote all the favorites haha. I need to dig around more. I also found it so easy to really dial in a good sound. Literally took me 4 minutes to get something I could use. Now I need to dig into all the other functions like splicing loops like this.

I enjoyed the hell out of this. The looper stuff you were doing in the latter part of the video sounded a lot like what Robert Fripp was doing with tape loops back in the 70s on albums like Evening Star which invented a lot of what we call today ambient music.

I know Jimmy's gotten long in the tooth but can you imagine Jimmy and Bonzo locked in a room for a few months "during lockdown" in 1966 with this thing ... ROFL ... Ahhh. I'm completely entwined in one of his riffs currently. Proof that "music" doesn't need to be note complicated , just the opposite, especially with one of these. What you DON'T play matters as much as what you do. 30:00 this is getting so complicated. I've got 14 other things to understand before I can get to this ( Last in the chain lol )

Amazing review! I am so torn between Volante and Dig delay even they are so different. I wonder do they cover similar sounds like when using Volante on Studio mode and DIG delay on 24/96 mode. Sometimes i need quite clean delay...

I know its expensive, but having this and the dog both in your board would be amazing. Best of both worlds. If not, the boss dd500 does all of these settings, even the 4 tape heads, wow and flutter, as well as a of the digital modes, and you can run multiple settings at once, as well as full midi control. It's also expensive, but one pedal. I have Individual pedals,.like this, for inspiration. It's unbeatable. But for live, I can program any of these settings into the Boss for Instant midi recall, for convenience. O promise, you cannot go wrong with any of these options. Maybe save up, and get one at a time until you have the all,.like I have. But, if I had to have just one, I'd have to take the one that can do it all. Also, if you play clean, they all sound amazing. But if you play with a lot of distortion, the tape delays really shine. Good luck

In general the DIG and the Volante are quite different delays, whatever similarities they might have would not negate getting both! I already have the DIG and love it. It is an exceptionally clean delay. With the dual individual channels you can have one master delay, a master delay with a companion delay, or a master delay with an independent second delay. While the DIG is all digital it really is a great pedal, and works incredibly well with acoustic guitar as well as electric guitar. I'm looking at getting an "analog" style delay and the Volante is probably what I'll get if for no other reason that I really love the old drum style. A great way to use the DIG and Volante together (in my mind at least) is going to be bringing the signal into the Volante and then into the DIG, then going out either mono or stereo (I'm playing around with wet/dry and wet/dry/wet).

Have you thought about an update demo with how you have evolved? It’s the best demo I’ve seen so far and I would have thought that we would have seen more examples given how powerful it is with that looper. Do you know how much record time? Definitely Radiohead territory.

So I was originally pushing to get an El Cap from Strymon. Now I want to push to get this instead. I think it's the extra layout/functionality that really turned me on to this as well as the addition to the different tape echo/drum echo sounds.

Rabea, your videos are the best. I love that you always point out the musical stuff over and over again in the pedals and not just the effect it does! I‘m a bass player (mostly upright), and I am just getting started with effects on the electric bass and your videos are very helpful! Sounds killer! When it first came out I didn’t really believe much in the pedal but now I’m catching on why there is all this hype around it... and I am actually considering of getting one. However before I make my final decision I need to know one thing: Can you set accurate bpm via pc for midi or does it all have to be rolled in by the time nob and tap tempo switch? Thanks
