I know Shadow King is terrifying, but I've always been delighted by the fact that, in all of his power, he always makes sure he wears his fez. Fezzes are cool as far as he's concerned.
The heart to heart between Rayne and Amahl Farouk is such a great emotional moment that really uses the teen demographic of The New Mutants to deliver a powerful message.
Isn't kind of weird that out of all of the various "reformed mutant villains" of the new mutant nation of Krakoa that the "MOTHERF&%$@ING SHADOW KING!!" of all people is apparently one of the most nicest and caring ones there so far!?
charles xavier literally brought his nightmare into existence. he spends all this time getting people to unlock their potential and has so little self reflection that he doesn't realise he can manipulate reality
I had a really cool comic from many years ago when the shadow king literally connected with every single persons mind on earth think he was trying to recruit Psylocke to his cause….the artwork for him was pretty bad ass in that issue. 😊
how is Rob not a psychiatrist Listening to Rob has to be what Christians feel like in Church so much of what this man says touch my soul !!!!! I have to hit pause and rewind every video
Very few people on RU-vid are so well spoken and make it look so easy. It seems like he’s doing it all off the top of his head with passion. He never slips up lol
*Twist Ending:* They are all merely different personalities in Legion's mind. But of course, the only one who actually knows this is Shadow King himself. ;)
It seems like Cosmar would be ideal to have some crossover with Nightmare and maybe Dr Strange. Especially given Magik’s powers. I would be surprised if she wasn’t already on his radar.
Shadow king is afraid. Shadow king is afraid that thing are changing. Now that the mutants have krakoa they can do more than just hiding there powers and who they are. But do wonders and explore what they are and what they can become. Shadow king lives on negative energie, that's feeds him and makes him stronger. What happens if mutant can change the world for the better?? What if the world start slowly excepting the fact that krakoa make a thing better..and all over the world people start looking for a better way than hate and bigotry and look for hope, for what they can do togheter to better themself and the world?? How would that affect the shadow king??
You say resurrection makes dying cheap just imagine if they turn around and say they may remember the same memories but they aren’t the same person and dont have their exact soul like ben Reilly isnt peter parker and he had all his memories at one point
Shadow King is now on the side of good, probably for now or at least for the foreseeable future? The scale of his abilities is linked to the mind of who holds the shadows and who else has similar powers to him in the X Man universe the ability to move around the shadows with out detection well there one who I believe is dead The Vansher and he had many powers not quite like the Shadow King but very similar? So is he also to surprise everyone and be returned?
What if Ra's al Ghul got the Ten Rings What if Doctor Strange got the Helmet of Fate What if Darkseid got the Cosmic Cube What if Deadpool got the Mask What if Darkseid fought The Avengers. What if Thanos got the Anti-Life Equation What if Shang-Chi was the Iron Fist What if Superman landed in Asguard What if the Batman Who Laughs invaded the Marvel Universe
Sheesh... not being scared of the Shadow King is about as smart as walking up to Apocalypse and saying "Man, yous a b**ch". I imagine your life expectancy is suddenly measured in nanoseconds. 😱 🤣
Hey Rob, can you explain: 1)Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie Comics) 2) The Key(DC) 3)The Mother of Existence 4)Lobster Johnson 5)Reptil 6)Crimson Dynamo (Valetin Shatalov) 7)Blue Beetle(Jaime Reyes) 8)Cyborg Superman Beyond Omega Level: Odin’s Doom(Ultimate Alliance Final Boss Dr Doom) Ultra Instinct Shaggy
I agree with scout about ressurrection. Even if they grow a clone and imprint your mind onto it it still isn't you. If you copy a hard drive and then destroy the original you still have the information so to you there is no difference. There is a HUGE difference for the original though. They acknowledge this by prohibiting resurrection without proof of death because they don't want two exact copies of the same person running around. Also has marvel scrapped the idea of an astral self or a soul, or are they implying that when they resurrect a mutant they are instilling the original soul into new body? For the record I'm agnostic but souls are part of marvel cannon, or they were.
It is confirmed in canon that it is possible to transfer souls via a process rather like downloading information. Tony Stark did it during Secret Empire (and he transferred his consciousness into an Iron Man suit, not a clone body), so I see no reason why Xavier wouldn't do it now, unless whoever's writing Thanos at the moment wants Death to have a superpowered army.
Btw rob, laura is no longer considered a clone but wolverines dna artificially impregnated lauras mother aka x-23 is basically the biological daughter of wolverine and thats what they said in the comics thus gabby is a clone of wolverines daughter
Truly hate that perspective of “being immortal is so bad meaning you don’t care about life or life is meaningless, etc.” Legit at this point humanity needs to stop including me in this category. I would LOVE immortality and I honestly mean it. To be about not to worry about Death and just live life is a blessing. I know the costs that come with immortality, which is why I can see that immortality isn’t for everyone. But if I had the chance, just a mere moment of choice I would want to be endless.
I think the real problem with immortality is that as you accumulate life experience, it can become harder to connect with people, and without connection your mental fortitude plummets and you quickly become unable to keep going and also unable to stop. However, this problem is far from insurmountable; in fact, all it would really take in most scenarios is just to make a conscious effort and stick at it for a few years, which for an ancient immortal should be no trouble at all, and for a younger person, the age difference won't really have formed yet and it shouldn't be that hard. There's also the fact that people change over time, and that change is not always for the better. Start going downhill, and you'll keep going downhill until something happens to shock you out of it, and the further down you go, the harder it becomes. Also, being a terrible person may seem like a good idea at the time, but in the long run it will make you pretty miserable, if for no other reason because it will prevent you from forming the kinds of connections that humans need. This also is a problem that can be avoided by attaching yourself to the right people and making a conscious effort for a while--the thing about it getting harder to turn back the further you go works both ways. If you can avoid these two obvious pitfalls, though (which admittedly requires a fair amount of mental fortitude, but so does just about anything worthwhile), about the only reason I can see to turn down traditional immortality is if you already have the immortal-soul-live-forever-in-paradise kind. Furthermore, that only applies if the immortality is absolute and can never be undone, and having these two together is extremely rare. All that to say, I also think immortality is a great idea for those who are capable of handling it, which isn't everyone but hopefully includes me as well. I think I would also choose it if I had a choice.
Cosmars powers are cool but god her design just irks me Damn I just finished the video and her story pretty sad, but I still can't look at the character without physically cringing
@@ToyokaX the concept was good but the design doesn't even look like she's part of the comic at all, looking like a fosters imaginary friends character
So when is farouk the one talking and when is it shadow king? Because the other characters can tell, and you can tell, but I don't see any physical distinctions. Is shadow king literally in charge at night and farouk during the day?
I agree with the Death and no consequence thing and I dislike it. Resting up on current events, these so called veterans are getting killed by rookie mistakes. The reason why the XMen and other similar teams were so amazing was because we were watching amazing people overcome impossible odds. Now they just seem weaker and there’s no point.
okay so I need some clarification here, when you die, a clone body is made and your mind that is "backed up" is put into the new body. Isnt that just a copy/clone? that's not me, i died, then they recreated a copy ofme from information they saved. thats like copying a word document and pasting it into a new folder. it's not the same document, it's a second document that is near identical? like star trek transporters shredding you, you die, but your info is copied, then send to the next location and put back together, its a perfect clone atom to atom, but its not you, its a clone.. or is the soul a part of this? did i miss something soul related?
First, I think that an argument could be made that, as long as there is a continuity of consciousness between the two bodies (however you define that), the Star Trek-type teleportation doesn't actually kill you. Not that that applies here. For this case, it has been confirmed that the soul or essence of a person can be transferred from one vessel to another using "normal" technology: Tony Stark did it during Secret Empire, putting his mind into his suit because something happened to his body (I don't remember what). While it's not confirmed that this is what Xavier is doing (which fits with the underlying theme of darkness lurking in Krakoa's shadows), it is definitely a possibility.
Sir Robert of Comics which are explained 🤩 ,Big Father 😉🍀,how well do you think anime character Naruto Uzumaki in six paths form will do in the DC universe
