Last time I went down there I heard a male voice. It was either shouting or trying to sing in a language I didn't understand. I'm not a superstitious guy, but there is something strange about that spot.
I spent so many years of my life hiking, backpacking, camping, and falling in love with the San Gabriels, they forever have a special place in my heart. I moved away about 5 years ago and absolutely love and appreciate your videos more each time. Thanks for bringing us along and letting folks like me relive a bit of the beauty and memories of such a wonderful place 🩷🙏
they play in my skull 24/7, it hurts sometimes :-) I also remember the one time a certain little desert dwelling hottie posted a video with some nip and lip slippage, and it was taken down, edited and re posted the same day. She is the sun glass wearing little hottie
I remember that video of you and Robert in that canyon. Always wanted to go back there with you. The voices will not bother me. I have dealt with the worst than that here on the East Coast. We have a place at Point Lookout Maryland that was a POW camp after the battle of Gettysburg. Talk about voices, and also, we have had a few apparitions. The stories I could tell you are off the charts.
theres a guy coming from back east to meet with me about la 29 nike base. he was based there in 68 69 and has papers and pics. I we have permission to go on the base and with the cattle association that leases it now. So I will be the before, the time when I wa a kid and the now story. aa nike base to beat all nike base videos full of facts
Thanks for a great video AL ! Bush is best ! ☺️keep walking and keep talking i enjoy your content and company ….those mountains look amazing…anyone still living there? prospectors ? 🙂👍🏻
There are a few guys living in tents on the East fork river, Jay and Kenny, both for about 13, 14 years. Digging for gold daily. Get enough to get by with supplies. Right lonely life. Not worth it, in my eyes but, to each their own
In this world sometimes you meet people not for long but leaves lasting impact on you for whatever reason you don’t know. Imagine you cross with so many of them in the same perfect time and place.. amazing. Hopefully the next time you assemble a get-together, Gabriel will show up again..
Thank you Allen for the great pictures of nature and your great stories! Please keep it up I live my hiking threw your San Gabriel trips their wonderful!👍👍😎
This is the video! LOL I remember the first one with your nephew where you were Hanging for the Halibut and heard voices...Gotta bring an expedition out there with some equipment to communicate. If you ever do, let me know.
Have you ever found ruins of the campsite up the West Fork of Bear Creek aside from the cabin near the fork? I tried going up there after a rainstorm earlier this year starting from the West Fork of the San Gabriel River, but the water was pretty high, and when I got to the West Fork of Bear Creek, I only had time to up up about a mile or so up it. I'd like to go up further in the early summer depending on the poison oak and maybe see if I can find any remnants of the site. I didn't realize that there was more up that way, but I figured I'd probably find some nice waterfalls if I went up far enough.
about 1 klick up river from the junction and cabin with the mark, there is a game trail going up the north eat or right if you are headed up river of the west fork, you can climb to the upper ridge and come down where the west fork splits, take the right fork and there is a big falls but so much poison oak its like a fortress
@@PHARRAOH I'll have to get out that way sometime. Those voices must have been wild. I thought I heard voices before at Pacoima Canyon and Royal Gorge, but I think at Pacoima, I was near water and hadn't really slept much the night before and I assume that at royal gorge it was just water, although I though I was hearing light high pitched laughs from the bushes. One weird thing that did happen to me at the West Fork of Bear Creek is that I went into the pool below the waterfall that is at the first fork/tributary to the north. I set my shirt on a rock by the pool, and when I got out my shirt was missing, but my pack, my hat, and everything else was still on the rock. I was probably only soaking for five minutes or so and there was a low energy pool below (water was not extremely turbulent). My reasonable guess is that it could have fallen into the water and washed away, but it sort of felt unlikely given where I set it. It's one of if not the only time I've had an article of clothing vanish while I'm swimming. It almost felt like someone or something took it, but it realistically probably just fell into the water and washed down stream. I still think about it strangely though. Something about it going missing there was very weird.
That was great, I was looking forward to hearing those voices. I was wondering if you are planning any more meet up’s in the future? Alrighty take care and keep on keeping on! 😉✌🏼
Hey, at 35:35 is that Jimson weed? We had that where I was growing up. I would always see it half eaten by something, I wondered if some raccoon or possum was off having visions of being a possum super hero or something. Maybe it did not hit them like it does humans? It was just strange that I would see it half eaten.
Hard to explian. No actual trails gotta bushwhack through 4' poison oak these dats. But trout everywhere this year. Even north fork has them. Even crystal lake!
@@PHARRAOH we should go on a treasure hunting hike sometime bring metal detector. I have a gold monster that's super light and is one of the best ones you can have. Battery will not die
