As someone the same age as Geoff and Layne who grew up with a dad who loves Motown and jazz and a Mom who loved 1940s standards, I love that there can be such a diverse repertoire from across the ages. It's fun to see what genre of music they pick when they don't have to worry about "Will our audience like this?" THEY like it, and that makes it AWESOME.

Geoff absolutely enthralls me with his deep, DEEP bass bedtime-story/songs that I listen to every night! But, BUT I must say a huge piece of my ear-hearts belong completely to Eli! Eli's voice is like an angel 's choir and Geoff's is how I imagine God Himself. Amazing the gifts that whole group has been blessed with.

Thank you for your inspiration. I get mail for the same person who has never lived here and keep writing "return to sender" with no results. Last time I sent it back i wrote on it using words and music written in bass clef (because I sing bass) return to sender,addressee unknown,no such person, ever lived at this home. The mailman took one look and just laughed and said that's a new one.

Voiceplay, I love you guys! Your music makes long car trips better, cheers me up when I'm feeling down, and this loop video made my cheeks hurt from grinning. "Generational divide," LOL, Cesar you make me feel ancient, but you're adorable! I know the fan you've flicked in a few videos since "We're Good" is your biggest fan, but I come pretty darn close too! Guys, thank you for all you do! Eli, congrats on your son! I'm overjoyed for you! If he has your lung power, maybe he'll start an A Capella group in Kindergarten! Side note: You were my top listened to group on Spotify this year. And I listened to "Hoist The Colors" (and I'm dead serious here) over 40,500 times. So about 151 day's worth. I listen to it as I sleep! "Valhalla Calling" came in second, I listen to that every other night for hours (there's a lot more to it, more of a beat, so I can't really sleep to it). And no, I'm not obsessed...well...not in an OCD (which I have) kind of a way...more of a "Dang, they make such fantastic music!" kind of way. Because you do.

I truly don’t understand music and if I hit the same note twice when I’m “singing” it’s pure accident, as for singing the same tune as the person I’m singing along with… I can’t carry a tune in a bucket. I watch reaction videos where people who understand music are saying “Geoff is doing this thing; Eli is making it better; Layne is the back bone supporting everything with this beat; Cesar just sent it into orbit with that twiddle he did with his voice” and I’m just 🤯and thinking “I like the way Geoff’s voice makes my body feel as the sound seems to echo through me; Eli sounds awesome and I can understand the words, and he makes my ears tingle; Layne is making me think I could almost move my 2 left feet without causing major injury to myself or someone else; ah Cesar’s so young and his voice reminds me of skylarks in the spring. Oh my gosh how did that all become this song! It must be faerie magick!” I don’t have to understand it! I just know it sounds good and I love listening to your music. Thank you.

Guys, I've watched this like a bajillion times and I love it more and more with each watch. This really hit me just right - I love this peek behind the curtain to see how songs and arrangements come about! The process of this looks fun, like a game, and I love to see how one person's turn informs the next. The end product is ROCKIN and I wasn't expecting that...bridge section, I guess? to turn out as it did from the snippets you showed us in the recording process! These are my absolute favorite extra bits of content coming from the boys right now. I also feel like this is such a good exercise to do to help get creativity flowing and practice arranging. I'm always a fan of setting rules under which you have to create art. Like a time limit or the first thing you write down is what you have to go with it pushes you to find creative ways to solve issues and often you'll make something amazing which never could have seen the light of day otherwise. ❤❤❤
