Just to clarify... This is only an announcement of the next Car Tale which will return to the story of the first gen Taurus.... sort of a director's cut of that original video. I've learned a lot since I made that first Car Tale and the 10k sub Taurus special will feature the same story but it will be extended and feature many fully restored brochure images... and fortunately, an all new voice over. Thanks for all the support.
Those original Taurus’s are real gems. The 3.0 v6 will run forever. My best friends dad had a 86 I believe that had about 400000 km (Canadian) was rotted out bad but would not die . Cheers 🍻 T to 10K and many more .
A very nostalgic well made video, I like it! We didn't get the Taurus sedan in Sweden since Ford wanted to sell the german Scorpio. The Scorpio was a hatchback only the first model years, so Ford marketed the Taurus wagon as a replacement. There were a few of them around in the 80's and 90's.
Congrats love your videos thanks for all you do we had a 1989 Taurus GL wagon it was a nice car You know looking at this vehicle today it still is cool and sleek looking
Great video!!! I remember that my brother in laws mother bought a new 86 Taurus, it was like no other car on the road!!! It was roomy & comfortable!!! Thanks for sharing this fun video!!! 👍👍🎄☃️
I always thought that these were really successful years for FORD. It's counterpart, MERCURY, had the SABLE, which I really liked. The styling actually bled over into LINCOLN CONTINENTAL line in the coming years. They just really hit GOLD !
Ok, that end synced beautifully, even I knew those final verses! Rather epic music all up in fact, very 10k worthy. Dunno how, but you made me kinda want a 2-tone Taurus wagon? 🤣 You guys got all the different Taurus models & series. Sadly, we only got the worst one (2000) & only one model, the 'omg' 3.0 V6 sedan. Ford here weren't serious, they should have hired Tofer (Australia) Co for the ads!
It's been a wild ride to get here at 10k, Nothing but love for all your work steadily pushing videos that are original, informative, as well as absolutely nostalgic even for those of us who were never able to live in that time so perfectly nutshelled we can almost smell the offgasing of those iconic vehicles.... keep up the great work, we love you ❤❤❤
Still trying to find that LX trim 1986 Ford Taurus wagon... Been searching for over 5 years for it. I hope I can still get one soon after I nearly got that one in Portland in 2019.
