Our summer backpacking trip this year was in Olympic National Park. Our trip was from July 27-August 4, 2019. It has been nine years since the last time we backpacked in the Olympics. In 2010 we hiked along the coast from Rialto Beach to Lake Ozette. This year our trip was split into two hikes. The first hike was to Enchanted Valley/Anderson Glacier, and the second hike was the High Divide/Seven Lakes Basin Loop. We had great weather with only one night of rain. It sure is beautiful out there. It’s nothing like the Sierra Nevada mountains which we have become so familiar with over the last fifteen years.
It’s amazing we’ve been doing these trips almost every year since 2005. The only year we didn’t have a backpacking trip was 2011. This is the one time of the year to forget about the craziness of the real world and just reconnect with old friends. People come; people go. Life goes on, but the spirit of adventure remains.
Most of the video was shot with my Nikon Z6+Nikkor 24-70mm f/4 S with a few clips from my iPhone X. All photos were shot with my Z6.

Ok love the video!!!!! Great picture quality. So three questions. 1. How much did the pack weigh for both trips? 2. Is the guy in the crazy body net a pothead? 3. Which hike would you do again?
