the sad about Disney Infinity is that there was gonna be a forth game that would've addressed your main point of criticism but it got canceled.

I'm so happy that people are recongnizing skylanders again.

As I skylanders fan I really appreciate this video as it gives an objective look on each game instead of arguing about Spyro or if the games are good or not it was genuinely refreshing to see such a well made video from such an underrated channel!

Something you forgot about imaginators: they had a service where you could order your own imaginator figure that could work in the game.

My major problem with Imaginators is how overpowered they make the enemies and senseis. Making your previous Skylanders worthless.

Skylanders reeled me back in with its afterlife fishing pole. I’ve like spent $80-$90 dollars, just because I wanted to collect the figures and wasn’t paying attention over the last month. Not my proudest moment.

Disney infinity has a gold version of each that are actually pretty great for the price.

Just something to note on the giants part. Giants introduced a difficulty option which SSA didn’t had before and will stay for the rest of the series. And if you beat the game during the first playthrough you will unlock a even harder difficulty know as nightmare mode. And boy there aren’t joking when they say nightmare especially on Trap Team and Giants. You will definitely struggle a lot. Besides that good vid

Not sure about the others but the Lego ones ARE DLC with access locked to the toy, not already in the game.

Believe it or not, they actually DID have a thing where you could have your Imaginators be made as actual toys. They had an app called "Skylanders: Creator" that was released along side the main "Imaginators" game where people could design their Imaginators in the exact same manner. They could then submit their designs and pay money to have them be made as an actual functional Skylander toy. This was able to be done either as the standard figure, which was poorly made in a dome-like case for its protection, or as a trading card, which the portal was able to scan like the main toy and was the cooler option in my opinion.

This makes me wish I was still into the Skylanders games. I absolutely loved the first one and I played some of Giants, but nothing past that. My younger brothers played Swap Force, at least, and I thought that gimmick was really neat.

the sad fact is as well, is that I, along with a ton of other people would immediately buy out the whole wave plus everything else if another skylanders or lego dimensions came out

Hopefully skylanders will return at end of skylanders giants 10th anniversary video they said something about right around the corner 2 years from now it’s 2024 so hopefully they’ll announce a new game or just 10th anniversary trap team we can still hope

I'm planning to make my own Toys-to-life game called Toysters. It's basically Pokémon combined with Yu-Gi-Oh using toys. Like Pokémon, you travel around the land challenge people with monsters to battle and have to challenge eight elemental specialists to become the champion. And like Yu-Gi-Oh, you use cards to attack. Okay, maybe the card system is more like Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. The cards instruct your Toyster how to attack and dodge in these turn-based battles. Oh, and the game will have two player characters, a boy and a girl. They are brother and sister who set off on their own journeys. Since the toy industry had often segregated their toys by gender, there are Toysters that only the boy character could use and Toysters for the girl. Though, that's more of an incentive to switch between the two characters when you want to use your full collection. Your Dad will give the two heroes the Toysters from the Starter Pack: Howdy Bumpy for the boy, and Princess Aliconey for the girl. The two human characters you play as will be fully customizable as you can change clothes you collected and get haircuts at salons.

Thank you for this video. I am still playing these games. Skylanders continuously and Disney Infinity and Legos Dimensions occasionally. Get that 1.0 pack. I am sure you can find It on the internet for sale. Its also good gameplay with the figures. I know, I have it. Just get the 1.0 You won't be sorry. You said no one cares that these games ended but, I care and so do many others. I hate it but nothing I can do about it. I really enjoyed playing with other players toy box creations in Disney Infinity. I was crushed when they turned off the servers. I still play on occassion but its not the same without the servers. I am still playing Skylanders. I have Legos Dimensions but I have not played it in a while. I will probably get back into that over the summer. I wish they would bring these games back now by popular demand. I believe they would be successful today. More so today than before. I don't know about the figure collecting though. Maybe use the DLC for getting the figures. I feel the actual figures today would be very expensive, would be hard to find and collect this day in age with scalpers and the use of buy bots making it difficult to buy from the internet and needing to stand in a long line at a store to maybe not even get a Skylander depending on how many were sent to a store. Usually not very many. I use to work at Toys R us doing this era and they would get like 3 or 4 boxes with like 6 in a box and we were able to hang them up on the shelves. No one was waiting to get them so, today not everybody would get one if this will be the same shipments to stores as before. Like this last series of Animal Crossing cards. Target got like 2 boxes of cards. 1 pack per customer. Not everybody in line got a pack of cards. You won't see walls full of figure packs like before. Those days are gone. Those were the fun days though. To go to the store. Walk to the video game section and see a wall full of figures. It was exciting. Those were the fun times now gone😢

I think Spyro's Adventure is okay but completely lacks replayability, but I love giants very much and have a good time getting all the collectibles in the levels, figuring out how to make it through on hard/nightmare mode, and watching the story unfold, and it's much more fun to me generally.

Kinda interesting that Imaginators is your favorite Game in the Series because it's the most unpolular Entry in the Series. About which one is considered the best: That's pretty split up among Fans.

People do buy Amiibo for their in game stuff...the largest recent one was the entire fiasco with Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword's Switch release where the Zelda & Loftwing Amiibo that released with it gave quick travel...and the massive issue in finding a lot of the ones with some of the special stuff became nearly impossible to find for a while whenever a game with them came out such as Tears of the Kingdom, Splatoon 2 &3, Monster Hunter, and Smash...and that's without some of the ones like the Metroid game that locked harder difficulties behind amiibos. I think that Amiibos kind of shifted what they were with taking some of the stuff from the Toys to Life and mixed it with other things there since all of the games tended to have them as added features rather than the main event there

Toys to Life carried my tween years and teenage years. Disney Infinity and Lego Dimensions was the best ones! I only played Skylanders Spyros Adventure then Giants after that Disney Infinity,Disney Infinity 2.0,Disney Infinity 3.0,and Lego Dimensions.

2 cool things about the toys to life Is that the bowser and donkey kong skylanders could also be used as amiibos! Also you could order a physical figure of your custom skylander online! I rlly miss dimensions and wish they would make a second one, Just maybe without the toys to life feature. There was so many universes but it was kinda ruined by the fact all the cutscenes had the same 3 characters over and over again.

It was a good idea... But also a horrible one. It put content behind a paywall (which always sucks) but at least in the lego game it gave you a functional toy outside the game.

Someone did a pole in the Skylanders community. About if they are a fan because of the games, or the collecting. And the majority said the latter. I’m kinda in the middle. I don’t care about the gameplay that much, it’s seeing my Skylanders in game, leveling them up, collecting them, wasting tons of money on them… Oh what the? Who put that there? But yeah, those first three reasons contributes to it. I also just like many of the characters featured because of their design, lore, gameplay, personality. But let’s be honest, it’s mostly design.

Giants inproved on ssa so much but the typical person isnt gona see it,only the better skylander players will notice the true differences,like how skylanders giants doesnt just have the regular difficulty modes but also has SCALING,making giants alone more advanced than swap force since swap force doesnt even have scaling at all, yet another " how toys to life died" clone in the sea of yt,and tbh all of us skylander enjoyers are sick of them,its just the als toy barn buzz shelf all over again.

If anything, they could continue these franchises, but just replace toys with microtransactions. Edit: Or something more preferrable.
