They should really add some on-screen indication when you've fulfilled the requirements for a daily.. Or just give you the acclaim automatically. It seems weird that you have to open the vault because no other currency shares this inconvenience.

it also shows you the dailies and a percentage of competion next to each of them where your pinned achievements go on the right side of the screen if you dont have any pinned achievements youre tracking. You can also choose to manually pin them with a little button next to each daily in the wizards vault window which will then just add them in amongst all your pinned achievements as well so you can have both!

I definitely lost all of the rune effects I was running, and honestly, got no good alternatives... I get that things like +5% dmg while under fury or +20% max health isnt that interesting, but damn was it useful and having a piece of ice shoot your enemy after using elite skill (aka once every 60+ seconds for most classes) doesnt really do anything, especially in PvE. I hope the relics that are yet to come fill a lot of these everyday use cases and also introduce some more synergy for different kinds of builds.

Agreed! But I think it is a good change in the long run. It brings more variety to builds.

They got rid of the golem in rune of golemancer. It's totally regrettable. That golem was amazing! This was a bad move from arena net, as it was unnecessary and just took out something really fun.

Thanks for the help and great info. While I was hoping to avoid starting from where I left off with story, that's kind of where I ended up. I understand they have supposedly made it easy to catch up in SOTO but I haven't really discovered it yet with the skyscale mount. I'm a bit lost after collecting the egg.

I didn’t even know there was a expansion coming out. Didn’t cantha just come out like last year or something. There’s so many new games or expansion’s coming out this year. Bg3 just came out, path of exile trial of the ancestors and now this like wow, so much content 😮

Hey man, I watched a few hours of videos of gw2 from your channel now. I was looking at games what I can play and found this again. I played in the beginning of gw2 when there was no expansions. Seeing all these classes I can't decide what class to play.. all look rly good :D I'm lost ^^ Rly good content and videos. I enjoy your videos very much, very informative and not boring! Could Hear you talk all day long on gw2 :D I'm so hyped to play it again!!

The Top is from the anniversary collection. (Just type in dragon to see it). Trade in thr silver triangles you get to get it. His shoes are from a dungeon skin. (The one in the sylvari start zone.) The pants are a crafted pair you can unlock through dragon fall. (Kralkatorik living world map.)

Might give out the game again a try soon but one question is how long/hard would it take to catch up on the endgame gear last time I played was during the Jade mech meta in just about every game mode and like I love raids/fractals and any of endgame stuff but realistically how long would it take to get all those properly geared stats to craft? I was working on legendary armor but it feels like that needs to be put on the backburner for now in order to do current endgame content for mats gathering.

Best part of the game is that there really isn't any catch up. The only major thing introduced was the relic system and you are gifted 3 of them I believe to start. If not you can purchase them from the trading post

wait i need a skyscale egg to unlock the mount is not training the flight mastery enough?

So the skyscale egg is apart of the collection . It starts the collection chain to fully unlock the skyscale. You can train the mastery now I believe even if you don't own the skyscale fully

I wonder if you or anyone else could provide an answer to this question without spoilers. So I've come back after some 5 year break and a lot has changed of course which is fine. But I cannot help but be jealous of the skyscale that people have, while trying to navigate the maps. People just fly over while I have to springer/skimmer jump over, if I even can which has made me utter the phrase "must be nice to have a dragon" for myself on plenty of occasions. I then learned that you could get the skyscale more easily in the new expansion so I've been holding back a bit and enjoyed the game until launch. SO, my question then becomes, just how far do you have to go to get to the point of the skyscale? As you say, I want to enjoy the story to the fullest so in chronological order. But I've noticed that the skyscale helps too much to move around to just ignore.. As I do, do dailies and a lot is sped up just by flying over terrain to the object. I'd like to peek into the new expansion and get it as quickly as possible and return to my current story. So how far do you have to get to get a usable one outside of the expansion zones?

swop between characters will give each a x3 of those relic chests, (if they have an elite skill unlocked), the kick in the nuts for me is that i already have the skyscale but i still have to do the "new friend" to be able to unlock the skyscale mount skin? why tho?, if you had it, you should have just gotten the mission to get the skin, smh

You can skip if you'd like. It's not necessary. If you want the story I'd say get it but otherwise not needed

I have avoided pvp in the game because I feel like I started so much after a lot of the pvp players but I am going to use the wizard vault pts as a way to push me into trying it at least

Hello! Is it true that you don't have to follow the story line/quests to reach level 80? Basically, just farm the map (level appropriate)? TIA!

Correct! The story for the most part is just to explain the world but completely skippable honestly. It does however offer great experience

There's no such thing as "level appropriate" in the base game (meaning not expansion areas), the game mobs scales with you. You *could* even stay in a single zone till lvl 80, if that's what you want because of this, though absolutely not recommended. Expansion areas doesn't scale, though, they're meant for lvl 80 only. If you have the expansions, you do need to go through the quests lines in order to open new zones, OR get someone to help you teleport there. I would absolutely NOT recommend you to skip quest lines. Mainly because there are mastery points tucked away in them, and these gets hard to collect. Btw, when I say "expansions", I also mean Living World chapters + Icrebrood Saga.

if i unlock skyscale in soto, will i get also the old masteries from living world s4 or do i need to unlock them by doing living world s4 ?

You will unlock the masteries from lws4 but you'd still need to level them to get the other affects. This will also let you work on the skyscale skin collection

Just noticed that I don't get a daily reward. Is the new feature only included in the new expansion? If I don't have the expansion how do I get those rewards?

I believe, now don't quote me, that regardless if you have SoTo, everyone gets the Astral acclaim daily

@johnnymartinjohansen tasks should be based on which expansions you own. You can still buy the regular rewards, laurels, coins, gold without Soto, but the seasonal rewards will require the expansion

Bro i never play this game.. and i want to try a good mmo... abd people talking about this one.. BUT is q 10 years old game.. then worth play this one and buy the expansions??? And what class is the best at this stage.. i like revenant but i dont know if is good..

All class are good in their own way and honestly unless your doing highest tier content it wouldn't matter. Luckily the content is broken down into each self contained expansion so if you even just jump into the new expac you'll be set!

So in SOTO unlocking the skyscale only works when your in SOTO? And I still need to do PoF to unlock it for all other areas?

You get a rental skyscale in Soto maps if you don't have one. Once you completed the Soto skyscale collection, you can use your flyer everywhere! Even outside of Soto maps

You still have to farm all the currency's you needed before. It's really not that much easier or more " streamlined ". The time gating stuff is gone but it was down to like 2 hours per piece anyways so it's really not a lot easier to get.

With the changes to skyscale I can't help but feel like the douches that don't want to do student loan forgiveness just because they had to pay their's. Like yeah, the skyscale chain SUCKED and I hated most of it, so it really did need streamlined, but I can't help but be a lil jealous that I did all that work >.>

Ya honestly it’s more than a little irritating. They had a system that was perfectly legal and you could spend money to make it actually worthwhile and now it’s worthless. I spent maybe a hundred bucks when expansions went on sale to beef up some alt accounts for better alt parking and of course daily login. It really feels like they just stole my money.

I know my opinion on will be an unpopular one. I've played GW2 since launch and played GW1 before that. Game to me has lost its soul. New content is literally just more playgrounds for mounts. Skins are garish and refrence to lore feels half baked. For me personally what made Guild Wars special was literally in the name, the Guild system. It's been completely neglected in GW2, the feeling of community for me just isn't there. I mean sure you can do things as a guild but theres nothing competitve about it. Nothing to push together as a guild to try to achieve. Multiple guilds are wrong in my opinion because a majority of people just jump between guilds depending on requirement, resulting in guilds full of lurkers. Making friends in MMO's is special and the way GW2 is structured to me actually makes the game feel like a very lonely game. Sure theres tons of people running around meta events and world bosses but thats it, just people passing by and no one actually getting to know eachother.

Actually I appreciate your honesty. The guild part of the game was one of my favorite things especially during factions and the battle for the jade sea. It is not the same to be sure but I also think that's because of their chabging target audience. It is built as a casual mmo and I think as such drifted into more solo open world content

@@CaffeinatedDad Alliance battles and Jade Quarry were my favourite pastime in GW1. How simple it was to put together a party and getting title track rewards along with faction for your guild and alliance was an absolute blast. Being a member of a high faction guild was bragging rights within itself as if you didn't play you part you wouldn't keep a spot in the guild. In GW2 is feels like people only want to to something in a group if there's some sort of pay off for them. There's absolutely no prestige to a guild whatsoever. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying everything about GW1 was better because obviously it wasn't. But beyond all the positives of GW2 the thing that made Guild Wars my game of choice back in the day is completely absent from GW2

So far, I absolutely HATE this new expansion and the changes they've done to the game. - No daily login rewards. I was TWO DAYS from getting a +2% gold find. Sometimes I really, really hate you, ArenaNet. - Annoying as hell story line. Example: enountering a boss, getting killed 5-6 times due to basically being frozen in place, then to suddenly discover you're NOT supposed to be able to beat him. - Scyscale mount is TERRIBLE to control. Example: it likes to grab to ledges and I keep on hammering every key on the keybord for half a minute for him to react in any way. This is NOT the only thing I hate about this crappy flyer, who can barely fly. - You NEED this terrible mount to get between platforms, aka floating islands. - Story suddenly locked since I don't have enough exp to unlock a required ability to progress. - etc. I'm done with this game, I'm going back to FFXIV.

-no daily login reward -yeah i hate that to -annoying as hell story - not the strong point on this game ( see EoD story ) -skyscale mount is terrible to control - that's a skill issue 😂 - you need the mount - well that is obvious , one of the selling points of the expansion was the mount - locked in the story - they do that for the illusion of length of the story For what i see on the streams this is not a ExP this a paid DLC
