Returning the Pan-America Motorcycle back to Harley-Davidson

While a bit more emotional ride back to #HarleyDavidson Corporate than I thought it would be with this brand new 2021 #HDPanAmerica Special, I recorded some quick last thoughts with the bike.
It was an absolute incredible machine to be allowed to put on almost 14K miles in under a month, and ride through all of the lower 48 states in just under 8 days with it.

Whit, I followed your 48 in 10 ride and was so impressed I wrote HD and made the business case that they should write down the cost of the bike because of all the great publicity that your ride has provided. I even said they could make you a 1099 paid employee as a consultant for the company doing evaluations on the bike and “pay” you by giving you the bike at a used price, like 60% of new, and write off the rest to the HD media and advertising budget. I hope they listen. Have someone like you as a HD a Ambassador would more than pay for their costs. Great riding, the bike is tempting. I just did a Yukon and Alaska ride to see my grandchildren in Anchorage this summer on a smaller V-twin and only saw 1 HD PA on the whole monthlong trip. BB

I thoroughly enjoyed the 48 state ride and have been thinking about you and the Pan America ever since. I was getting the impression that you were bonding well with this bike during the whole tour, but wasn’t sure what your final impression might be. I think you just told me what your feelings are about this bike. Lol. I like that Harley Davidson thought outside the box and came up with their own unique design. And how about that suspension lowering system! I’m glad you made this video and even though it has to go back to the dealership for now, I’m like you when it comes to whoever buys this bike. It would be nice if they were to contact you and let you know who has it and where they live. You might see the exact same bike on the road. You represented your family and Harley Davidson very well and we look forward to seeing your next adventure. Until then I think I will go back and watch your 48 state tour and re-live it all again. I just might have missed something.

The PA is the best bike HD currently makes in my opinion. I loved it when I test rode it, my brother loved it so much he traded his Street Glide for the PA. It suits you Whit, I think you should buy one, even if it means putting money aside for awhile and trading in the Sporty. I know you said it wouldn't be easy for you, but life is short, go for it! 😎

@@whitmeza I felt bad and erased my first post because I thought maybe you weren’t able to do that yet. I’m really Glad I was right and how cool you were able to get the bike you did that epic ride on - it inspired me to get mine. I’m meeting great egret 3rd week of Sept. on our pan ams to do a ride up to Lake Superior from northwest Illinois. I was telling him if you got a pan am we should do a meet up.
