When Alex the Rambler says, "Your Boyyyyyy!" at the beginning of every video, he means it. I consider Alex a close, personal friend who imparts his wisdom to me with every new video. He's like my RU-vid pal in the way Mr. Rogers was my tv pal as a kid.
Fun Fact: There is also a map mistake by Minnesota as well that resulted in Minnesota getting land on the Canadian side that can only be reached by sea without entering Canada, all land routes require entering Canada. A really good mod is the Great Lakes confederation mod. It’s about a Native American nation that centres around the Great Lakes. It’s very well made with a full focus tree and well developed lore.

This is probably my favorite HOI4 mod. Everything is well thought out and I hope Alex the Rambler plays this mod more. Kaiserreich Redux is also a great submod because it's a collection of all the major Kaiserreich mods and adds a whole political dimension to the game.
My favorite country in Kaizsrreich is Canada. Building up Canada, maintaining whats left of the Commonwealth and ultimately fighting to take back the British home isles is an absolute blast for me.
Alex, if you want to have yet more content for Kaiserreich, play it with the Kaiserredux submod. It adds a lot more content such as a Napoleonic France, Greece restoring Byzantium, a Hungarian focus tree and so much more.
That's really interesting! never knew the kaiser was in charge of our borders. Surprised Canadian schools don't teach that since it's a relatively important on learning how Canada came to be
I think it might be neet if Mr. T.Rambler played Kaiserreich more often. It's always getting updated, and most countries have interesting focuses that could be done. A personal recommendation I have is Transimur since it's already a challenge and just seems like its funny enough to have a giraffe with.
To be honest, I've never really been able to get into KR as a mod. Not only do I find the PoD to be incredibly unfeasible, but the early game might as well make "choo-choo" noises at you in terms of how railroaded it is. Then there's the fact that in my last KR run, I was playing as Canada - and by 1942 I had helped the Pacific States win the 2ACW and restored the monarchy to Britain... and the restrictions the KR places on justifying war goals left me wondering just what I was going to do next.
I can say with much certainty that almost all of these German events have been there for years. Like, maybe try out the major update that was China from earlier this year.
Best Hoi4 game I've had was as Patagonian syndicalists. You start as piss-poor worker's rebellion and end up ruling over the whole continent of South America.
My latest kaiserreich as Germany. War gets declared by France 39, Austria joins me, Russia declares war on me. The east only stabilizes when they're a province away from konigsberg. There's a stalemate in France after taking a few tiles. Netherlands joins me and immediately gets invaded so my army that was gonna be sent easy goes there, remember Austria? Austria capitulated with only my tanks and an army of Eastern Europeans preventing socialist Italy from coming into Bavaria.
For what it's worth, Kaiserreich is among my favourite Hoi4 content and as you can see there is a lot of variability so it could provide you with some amount of spice to your Hoi4 lull for a bit. Focus on you obviously but I just wanted to do community feedback eh
Just to add on to the Canadian American speech Alex did the American Canadian border is not strait it a a mess of jagged lines because it was made by hand and as you can think it is hard to keep a straight line that long

Kaiserreich is THE mod. But I've come back to it recently and they've made the Black Monday crash SO much worse for Germany. Somehow I ended up with pretty much the whole world at war with Mitteleuropa and very little means to fight back. It felt excessively harsh.
Technically, Canada is to this day the Dominion of Canada. It's just that we don't call it that commonly. It's similar to how we call the UK the United Kingdom, not the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

I want to say 1878, in the San Juan Islands between Victoria Island in BC, Canada and Washington State mainland in the US. The island was San Juan Island (Flores and Orcas Islands were also in dispute). One of those strange little moments in history, there have to be millions of them, when both British troops and US troops occupied the same islands, both claiming possession. Similarly, both British and American settlers started to colonize the island, each to the other chagrin. I have read tensions were high enough that locals thought it was just a matter of time before shots were fired. It was called the Pig War because an American pig dug up a British vegetable garden and was promptly executed. Kaiser Wilhelm I was asked to mediate. Sided with the Americans, giving all islands in the Straight of Juan de Fuca to the US, but I never read why he sided with the US instead of the British. We always read about the moments that shaped history; but there have to be just as many 'non moments' that shape history as well. What would the 20th Century looked like if the US and Britain fought a war at the end of the 19th Century?

Try playing the southern victory mode. It’s based off the Harry turtledove books. It was just recently released so it only has focus trees for the North American nations.
Also you should play in china, one of the most fleshed out areas. Also if you every play Equestria at war, trying forming the ELF (Equestrian Liberation front).

You should've sent volunteers and supported the AUS because they can join the Reichspakt. Also I bailed out the unprofitable estates in my playthrough because I didnt want to lose those civs. In the end of the black Monday reforms tho you still end with the same stability for each reform tree. So I think bailing the estates out is better. I also threatened russia and invited the threatened nations. That got me the Don Kuban Union into the faction aswell as all the Caucus. Then Russia backed down.
The New Order recieved a huge update, allowing you to play as the US, Germany, Italy, Japan, Ordensstaat Burgund and many Russian warlords. Pls check it out again (And the GUI still gives you a headache)
