Joe reviving his Thatching career and Dan and Phil reviving their gaming channel on the same day is too much for me. Feels like i've gone back in time.
Oh, I LOVED this, Joe - it actually made me feel really emotional! What an amazing skill you have. Perhaps one day you will thatch a roof for your own house with Dianne.
As an American who has never seen a thatched roof, I always love hearing you talking about the trade because I can tell how much you enjoy it and that it was a real passion of yours.
Thatcher Joe, you haven't lost it at all! This was a wonderful video. So nostalgic, well filmed and great vibes with everyone involved. You really have become an icon in your day. Thanks for sharing your great life.
man i got violent (but good) flashbacks watching this. you made my teen years great with your content im so glad to see you doin well (and momentarily thatching again!)
The way you talked about being in nature and creating art for someone else sounds incredible. Also, I want to hear a roof-thatching ASMR track now. Keep up with the amazing videos.
i remember the first time of ever seeing one of your thatcher videos way back in the 2013 to now seeing you go back to your roots of the beginning of your career. Time really does fly by so quickly! this is so emotional to watch in such a good way seeing you grow and flourish is incredible
watching this made me remind of the old days 😭 i remember watching you from the start and look where you are now 🥺 glad i was able to spend my childhood/teen years watching you guys 😭
This was awesome to see you do your old job again, Joe, and do it so well. You’re an artist and that showed. Everyone was so nice and encouraging. A great bunch of people.
Havent watched in a solid 9 years but this came into my feed and im glad it did. I remember watching the old thatching videos as a kid. Oddly nostalgic
As someone who has never ridden a bike let alone got any skills that can keep rain and weather out in such a lovely heritage way I am very impressed, WELL DONE Joe.
I remember the days right at the start where you were still on the roofs. Seems ages ago, but seeing you go back makes it feel like yesterday. Weird thing, time is. Thanks for this special vid!
So good to see this, felt like a proper thatcher joe throwback :) so crazy to see where life has taken you, look forward to seeing pieces of the next chapter:)
Crazy I was going back to the first people I subscribed to and it was Joe 8 years ago. I went to check back in still subscribed 8 years later and he’s gone back to thatching roofs crazy 🤣 how nostalgic
Hi Joe - I've always wondered, were you involved in thatching the roof of the home of Giles and Mary who are seen on Googlebox on Channel 4? Always wondered, as I think they live in the same part of England you are from. Thanks Joe, and I hope you have a great week ❤
Joe said it was therapeutic to do, it was also therapeutic and interesting to watch 👍 Might sound bitter but it’s nice to see him going back to a former trade and putting in hard work, as opposed to celebrities putting on a McDonald’s/Starbucks uniform and cosplaying being working class for an hour (and probably getting paid £££ for the partnership lol).
Omg just yesterday I came across a roof thatching short. It immediately reminded me of you. Now I'm here and your latest video is one on roof thatching.
Been watching since 12+ years ago and thought I'd check in on some old youtube subscription buds. Happy to see you happy and thriving! Sad some of the channels haven't been updated in 4-6 years. Thanks for letting us have a peek into your life. :)
Hmm... there's no law saying you couldn't do one day a week as an assistant Thatcher, is there? I bet Dianne still does the odd haircut occasionally, helping that dude out one day a week when he has a lot on, in between media work, would be cool. Also, why don't you have a thatched garden shed at home? :-D
seeing this video pop up in my recommended brought such a smile to my face. i use to watch your videos so much when i was younger in my early teens and now im nearly 20. so to of seen this, has truly made my night
next thing we know itll be thatcher joe asmr with the sounds of nature and satisfying cuts - this was very warming and wholesome I'm glad I decided to click the video!
Its fascinating how different people have come to find Joe, can't recall exactly how I came to find Joe but I am sure Tom Cassell was probably involved
wooow what time flies, i got u on recommended and i havent seen your videos in years i have forgotten you. but now when i got u recommended i finnally got here again
I only started watching The Thatching Guy because of how much I loved seeing your thatching video and how much I missed seeing you Thatching… the two words collide and I love this
I'll be honest - it's been years since I've watched one of your videos Joe (Dare Suggs and your Impression videos were top tier) but coming across this whilst I was working really was nostalgic
Wauw you sure haven’t lost the Skill to Roof thatching Joe well Done. What an awesome day Bring Back precious memories 🥰 the owner was als so delighted to meet you 😜. Great video Jo have a Good week🥰
DanandPhilGames is back…Joe is Thatching…..ARE WE GOING BACK TO RU-vid’S PRIME??? Joe I’ve missed your videos, and I’ve been here since D1 and your colman’s with Casper & Oli! 💖
Such a nostalgic video! Loved watching every minute of it, reminded me of when I first started watching your videos and then discovering the whole gang...great times
Great to go back to your roots , very supriced you have a house with a slate style roof, interesting blog as you stated its like ridding a bike it maybe a wobbly start but the artist comes out as you settle down to the job in hand 10 out of 10 blog Sir !
Great video Joe, I started watching your videos back when you were living with Casper Lee, since then I’ve always enjoyed watching your videos, Keep up all the amazing work. Can’t wait to what your next video will be.
I always stop and watch the thatching process. I’m lucky to be surrounded by many thatch houses on outskirts of Canterbury. If I had my time again, I would of loved to have trained in this old craft.
