The post-heist thing where you're still in the world but everything has despawned is a solo mode thing afaik Prior to the most recent update, it also didn't despawn cops in loud and you could hear yourself getting shot during the success screen lol
I see! As long as it's just solo mode jank, I would say it's fine, considering it was a highly requested feature, and the devs have clarified that it's currently in beta :D Being shot by cops in that state must be very scary though haha, players are probably always worried that their health will run out at any moment...
First, for Marcmb: alarmed displays have an alarm-like device on them ;) And 2nd, for anyone who needs it: Short camera loops are because of the weekly difficulty rotation, every week the heists gets 1 random modifier both for loud and stealth on very hard and 2 on overkill. The loops in this game are infinite. The modifier that turns them off is "Cerberus core". There's a skill to allow an ecm to turn off a camera closeby, until you use it or pick it back up (another skill), and another one for loops, or "runtimes" to loop more cams at once
@@miweneia While I agree it's not done the best way possible, it's an interesting idea because it forces players to adapt weekly to new challenges rather than fall back in their comfort zone (3 runtimes, 2 ECMs and so on in our case).
A hostage! Nevermind I don't see him. Wait a hostage! No I can't quite see him. Is that a hostage!? Hmm... Took him like 2 whole minutes to notice the hostage, who had not even moved an inch hahaha :D
My latest video was only 43 seconds long, so this one is a tiny bit longer to compensate. Additionally, this here is Bonus PAYDAY 3 Content to make up for all the PAYDAY 3 that I have not been uploading in the past 8 months. Note that the pre-heist lore texts that appears at 7:09 and 31:17 still remain on screen for a period of time based on hardware and load times. This is definitely one of the current flaws of the game because that thing disappears so quickly, that I never have time to read any of it!
The thing that pops up when you load the heist that goes away so fast is just the heist description in the heist menu, the heist name, then difficulty and modifiers. Nothing special.
Haha yup :( I mentioned the number a few weeks ago, and the younger people on the Discord server had no idea what the number meant!!! It's probably one of those things that newer generations don't learn anymore...
Played Houston Breakout quite a bit since it came out, and I’ve only just realised you don’t have to scan every single bag in the evidence room. Feel like an idiot now but thanks for teaching me something new haha. Great video once again
It's the second heist with the highest payout (~1.770.000) if you scan everything though. I didn't find it worth it in loud, and it took me around 30 minutes in solo stealth to get all bags.
:D Glad I could show you a small improvement, JustPrime! I got lucky and quickly found the hint for the proper row of boxes, so I got out of there quite quickly on my first run. On the other hand, when I found the server room (for the digital evidence) I had no idea what I was looking at, so I also ended up scanning every single server, before realizing what I was doing...
@@Shakiereagle It's probably very good in co-op stealth: while some people are progressing in the main objectives, you can have 1 player scanning all the physical evidence, and 1 player scanning all the digital evidence!
I started playing when payday 3 first came out. I havent returned since, but after seeing that they released a single player mode, I think i'm gonna come back and give the game another shot.
That's what I did yup! I didn't like the long matchmaking times, so I was waiting for this. Definitely recommend it, the experience is quite fun, and the gameplay quite unique (at least the first few times).
Such a relaxing video! Even makes me wanna play this game :D I personally didn't liked the part where we have to drag manager to the vault in bank heist, but you really pulled it out smoothly 😮
Thank you very much Jang! Glad you enjoyed this one :) That manager section can feel a bit sketchy, but I find that hugging the wall away from the office civilians makes it very consistent :D
Payday 3 had a lot of promise, I mean, all they really could have done was put Payday 2 on a new engine (or just refresh the graphics) and fix the terrible loot drop system and it'd been near perfect. Maybe it'll be good in a few more years, but the forced online and pricing model make it a hard sell.
It had potential for a lot more yup. My first thought when they announced the release date was that it was too early, so delaying would've been nice, and helped a lot with the first impressions (many of the issues would've been perfectly acceptable for a beta version, or early access). For now it's improving, but I really want the devs to add some cool features that justify the game being ONLINE-ONLY, beyond just the useless anti-piracy, and the server hosting games, which wasn't strictly necessary.
@@Marcmbif you have been keeping updated, which I assume you haven’t, they’ve already confirmed an offline mode months and months ago. All the big promised changes are gonna be coming from October to the end of the year.
@@KookyCthat still doesnt excuse initial online only oh yeah, i also can pirate pd3 rn if i wanted to playing pirated payday sure does bring you closer to feeling of being an actual criminal lmao
30:52 its happened before and is quite rare. Got stuck on a NRFTW in loud and couldn't escape or heal so was just killing cops for 15 minutes on Normal until I left
this isn't same one, this one it makes it so your camera is weirdly flying and you can only spectate, the time seems to be completely random sometimes like 5 seconds, sometimes about a minute I think its a solo mode bug
Haha! I didn't even know the scanner existed until the very end. Big blunder! On Houston Breakout I did find it as it was part of the main objectives, but it would've taken so long to scan everything...
Man, I really love your videos, from the ecm rush big bank that was the first that I saw, you deserve a lot more recognition, don't stop, your content is really cool.
Thank you so much Jean! That Big Bank ECM rush was so long ago :D I was still playing with Autumn back then, those were the days. Glad you've been enjoying the content all this time, and thanks a lot for the very nice words!
That's great to hear Brassfish, thank you for the good feedback! It was fun to edit this one, looking for the highlights while showing the progress of how the heists went, so I might do more in the future :D
Thanks CJ! Glad you enjoyed the video, and the structure of the clips :D It was my first time playing these heists, so I thought it would be nice to show my learning experiences, rather than just my eventual first completion :D
Oooh that is a very interesting way to use that! I did not see any purpose in locking myself inside the store, but being able to lock the guards out (especially in those small stores) sounds extremely helpful.
Thank you so much Liegnitz!! I'm hoping to continue covering both as well :) As for the voice reveal, I do have plans for some streams in the near future, which will be with microphone to make it more interesting, and after that I will likely start adding voiceovers to my new videos :D
43:40 if you want to escape in that sticky situation, you must let the guard pass the room first and while he's still behind you, just sneak past it. guard detects you faster when you move in this update.
Ooh I see, I didn't think about that at all! I didn't consider detection going up faster (since I was just crouching, which used to be fine...) so I tried to prioritize getting out of his sight as soon as possible. Standing still while he moves past, and then sneaking out, definitely sounds better now. Thanks for the tip!
With this last big update, I honestly think the game's really good now. The new heists are really good and the biggest complaints have been remedied, with the exception of CrimeNet, but it seems like they're planning to get on something like that soon, together with a rework of the admittedly pretty bad UI. But I'm no longer just hopeful, I'm starting to have a lot of fun with it. PD2 still has a place, it's a very different game with a large amount of heists not available in 3, but the new one is finally as is should've been at launch.
Crime Net and a UI rework are on the way if the roadmap is to be believed. Payday 3 is in the best spot it's ever been in and I am optimistic for the future
Never understood why ppl like crime net... In theory was a good idea, but in practice is just terrible On pdth it was much more simple, it just showed all the servers and that is it (unfortunately did not have filters)... Also that is not capped at 40 like Payday 2
I have played a lot of payday 3 I have gotten all the DLC I have said I love the gameplay and weapon customization but I love payday 2 more because nostalgia
Every stealth heist ive learned in pd2 has been from ur tutorials they are always the best. Hoping for some pd3 stealth tutorials for future heists if u find urself playing it more often
Tbh, In the first heist, getting the roof gaurd to come downstairs was probably actually good since then he couldnt spot the hostages in the room below him through the spotlight
Very true! I did notice this during the beta, but it has been so long, that I completely forgot the roof guard will spot those office civs, and come down to mess up the run.
Thank you for showing us this Solo mode. I was hoping to try PD3 for a long time, but "online only" and server issues made me wait so they can polish the game and overall experience.
Oh! That might have been it, that's true. It was quite close to where I ended up finding the blue KC, and it did disappear once that objective was completed. A bit buggy (floating waypoint weird), but that was probably it!
@Marcmb yeah, I noticed that it's one of the spots that that guard stands in, and as far as I can tell, he always has the keycard and always patrols the same area, but hey maybe I just got lucky with the rng.
It depends! In this case I performed an illegal action, in a private area, while being observed by a guard. For this reason, they went straight to handcuffing me!
Maskless stealth is the biggest reason for PD3 to exist, I should say. Gunplay is also fine and satisfying. But game lacks of variety, some madness and some QoL features which should be day one.
Maskless stealth is very cool yup! The launch was a disaster, which is a shame, but it's slowly getting better... Hopefully the DLC next week will be fun too :D
:D Glad you enjoyed watching it all Miguel, thank you so much! I might make some loud content in the future, maybe for the loud-only heists like Road Rage (and maybe new ones in the future?).
Houston heist is really fun, been playing since it dropped . They still have alot to cook though . I tried playing crimeboss rockay city but its not the same, payday has a superior recipe and they just need to rebound. I love civ stealth gameplay in payday 3
I've seen some gameplay from Crime Boss but it's not fully my thing. The emphasis on the story mode being about controlling zones, rather than focusing entirely on the heisting, isn't exactly my thing!
@@Marcmb i have asked one of the devs on discord if its possible to have a restart option during a heist, he gave me a flat no cuz its a rogue lite game. but isnt it a heist game first?? had trouble getting used to heist map layout and being forced to alt f4 to restart a heist to practice
Man I loved payday two was pumped for payday 3 and was kinda disappointed and basically forgot it existed.. seeing this thumb nail made me said so much time has passed .. now I wanna play it again lol
I think that game has improved quite a bit and Im having fun with it, but I miss having crime net so I could find what heist Im looking for. Plus, I cant help but feel like there arent that many heist to play in the first place. My favorite new feature, unironically, is the ability to CLOSE doors.
Closing doors is really neat yup! Knowing that it's something you do to hide yourself from the guards, it feels really nice. Sadly I still feel that their decision to NOT add CrimeNET was to encourage DLC purchases: in PAYDAY 2, you could pick any DLC heist and join them on CrimeNET immediately, without any restrictions as long as someone else was hosting. However, this is not possible in PAYDAY 3, and I'm sure it was a financial decision. Luckily they're adding a server browser soon...
Thanks Schlop! It's good to be back :D I really like some of the new systems, and I'll continue making videos on the new improvements so that the community is aware of them!
Thanks Nosgard! Glad that you're still sticking around :D I'm gonna continue covering PAYDAY 2 _and_ 3 for quite a while. Hoping that the devs will give us some great things!
Payday 3 had alot to live up to with Payday 2 having legit 4 games worth of added content but the devs released it with barely anything in comparison tho they'll get there eventually I'm sure it will be just as good
Exactly yup. I'm sure with enough time it'll be great, but they released in early access state pretending it was a full game, so the launch was disastrous as a result :(
I see! I might install that mod then, I've been playing modless, but I really miss the loot value indicators. Also good to know the delay isn't just me. Hopefully they fix it soon :D
@@Marcmb same at you thank you for a lot of tip in pd2 👍 some tip i never know if not see you doing this and enjoe PD3 they fix it good now i guess haha🤣
I think pd3 is very very solid game, it has some issues, but its cool and sometimes very funny. I think all the time gamers compare pd2 and pd3 with amount of content. I doesn't think that's right to compare game that came out roughly 11 years ago, and game that hasn't been online even for a year. Pd3 is banger I think
Nah, it's because 3 is neither quality nor quantity product. It's just not as fun to play, it lacks fundamental features and there's no excuse that in 10 years they didn't learn what made 2 a good game which people like to play for thousands of hours. This game is just another slop as any of their previous attempts after pd2.
@@thesun9210 Payday 2 isn't quality either. It's as much jank as a Bethesda game. Which isn't bad. Also they decided to make Payday 3 it's own thing and not a Payday 2 clone. Which I do think was a mistake. Main problem with Payday 2 was the Diesel engine. But SBZ has been hard at work and the game is in a state where it at least should have been at launch. In other words, worth 20 bucks on sale. Which is promising.
@@thesun9210 Rockay City, the 'payday killer', so mediocre that it has less players than PD3. Soulless, cliché characters with bad and boring AI and soundtracks. But hey, 3 bags!
Interesting! I might try a run with all cleaned bags and all loose cash, to see what kind of reward I get. I feel like the devs messed up again by not adding any XP (IP) rewards to the loose cash, because right now you only get rewarded for all bags, so you are encouraged to skip all loose cash :(
it seems that the devs finally started to cook! The launch was horrendous and totally not worth it, but now that more content is added, the game has improve. Some work is needed, such as more heists (new one on september 16th), more guns (and pls, new inventory interface, cause its a mess every time i want to buy a gun) and bug review. Year one update should drop relativelly soon, so we´ll see if the game can revive or its doomed
I have high hopes for the First Year anniversary yes! Also they decided to replace Game Director Mio (after the recent controversy) for Almir and Andreas, so I think they are gonna be making some good changes soon :D
Hey Captain! I have plans to make guides for all of them eventually, but I think I'll wait until I get a good microphone, to make my guides with text AND voiceover!
Idk if you know this but you can shoot out those cameras and as long as nobody sees its broken your good .. I like to lock down the maps as much as possible when I solo just my style
Interesting! I'm used to the Titan cameras ever since PAYDAY 2 and PAYDAY 3 on launch, so I didn't even consider shooting any of those cameras. Good to know that this is feasible as a strategy!
Overkill alerady has strong foundation from Payday 2 but instead they created a new foundation which is weaker than Payday 2. They did not follow player feedback instead they follow what they think they could profit more, therefore the result made them regret for the decision they have made. The only way for them to survive from this is, kill Payday 3 and create the game from scratch, follow what the majority of the Payday 2 playerbase wants for Payday 3, if there are some issues, ask the players that the wish they have can't be done so provide them the choices so that the players can choose what would be the alternatives. This is how you make your game successful.
Hopefully they can revive this one before moving on to the next one, because otherwise most people won't have trust in these devs. The issue right now is they didn't listen enough to the players and didn't give us what we wanted, so not many people still play it nowadays... It's getting better recently, so we'll see!
Thank you very much Kuba! That's why I started with the easiest heist (Beginner Bank) because I had not played in a long time, so I needed to re-learn all the controls and everything...
I still like the combat of payday 3 and the stealth mechanics of payday 3, however. not being able to play a game alone was keeping me away from payday 3 and the only time i did play payday 3 was during the time the steam demo was out
Porting the stuff from 2 to a new engine isnt as simple.. im still bitter abour diesel engine after console got abandon, im happy for payday3 bur i hope for more replayablity soon
Abandoning console was unforgivable yup, there's no way they will make the same mistake with PAYDAY 3. All the PAYDAY 2 content that console players were never able to enjoy...
Still need work for sure yup, I'm hoping it'll get better in due time. First anniversary coming soon, so I'll keep everyone updated with some new videos!
@@Marcmb I’m very upset about it’s launch. I would of been fine with Payday 2 Remaster or some play on word like ReHeist in Unreal Engine 5. All I wanted to do was play Crime Spree and get to the thousands without lagging and crashing. It’s so BS. I don’t know how those hackers even played on anything in the 100k+ I got into a lobby played one mission then crashed on completion… Which means it’s doable but not optimized. I just wanna enjoy my bank robbing again…
Me as well! I have really high hopes for it. The fact that they built a whole online-only infrastructure makes it possible to use that for some fantastic events in the future, so I hope the devs will go in that direction after ironing out the currently missing features :D
@@NorthEevee These two in particular are going to be a big deal yup! Especially server browser, because people are really looking forward to CrimeNET again, with proper stealth / loud filters, and easy access to DLC heists without buying them as a client!
Unmasked stealth is fantastic yes! Really entertaining. Hopefully the upcoming updates fix the obvious issues, and the devs listen to the players. After that, the playerbase will increase a lot...
In 30:52 it seems to be a bug with this new update, happens the most with the new heists, but ive rarely experienced it (console player, with streamers ive seen it happen to the most they're on PC)
That is true yes! Last time I played, cameras were always Titan cameras on the highest difficulties, so I didn't even realize that those cameras were breakable at first...
@@schlop1771 That is good to know! Now that Titan cameras aren't guaranteed on the highest difficulty, it's definitely useful to break some of them. It's good knowing that, unlike PAYDAY 2, guards are not sent to investigate broken cameras immediately. Thanks for the info!
Hey abcdef! The 7 achievements are some specific tasks that I plan to make videos about, that's why I haven't done them yet :p I play open stealth lobbies, and very often ECM rushes too - join our Discord server to find me there!!
The game has vastly improved since Launch and thankfully so! After about a 6 month hiatus I came back and im pleasantly impressed it feels exactly like PD2 and it's great! I cant wait for future content drops!
i'm really not a big fan of stealing or lock picking without mask at the feet of civilian a cross hand to hand with guard, it's okay the game feel different than the 2 but not completly different aspect of stealth i mean it's nonsense for me
@@schlop1771 you can steal security card, look around and go to some zone your mate can't go with the Mask for help And yeah I prefer that, for me it's ok to lockpick the door without a Mask or else but the fact that civilian are so useless in payday 3 IS Bad for me Like still in front of them and go out with a Big in front of guard is bad
In beta solo mode. It seems the codes (number on vault) resets every restarts. But online mode it seems like it doesn't. There's also a bug on solo mode right now that the bags aren't accurately count, and will always counted as full looted even if you actually missed some bags.a glitch to power level xp
Like 8 months I believe yup, something around that. And we still don't have cool basic features such as visible chat for console players, kick system for trolls, server browser... We're getting there, but VERY slowly.
Not yet! I wasn't playing at all when those two released, and now with this new update I went straight to the newest ones. I'll be checking them out soon!
I still think you did very well! Nice to see you again too. I still consider giving payday 3 a try. Sure, it has its issues but the fact casing mode is now more ueseful in stealth, how you can get key cards withouzt wasting ties/bullets and the hitman like escort system, is sure a nice stealth improvement. Still play payday 2 for the classic heists and such
I think payday 3 will need to take its time just like payday 2 was especially on console. payday 2 on ps4 was really bugged and deleted all your data sometimes which was really a big L and lots of Bugs. I think payday 3 also need 2years+ to become a good game like payday 2 was. The card system at the end is missing that was cool
The savefile on console was really bad yes. No backups, easily corrupted, so many players lost all their saved data... For now PAYDAY 3 is missing a lot of features, but I hope that it can get better in the future. I will keep everyone updated with some more videos about it :D
@@Marcmb i think i lost my data 3 times before someone in the old ps community told me about the ps cloud trick and a usb drive. With this method you could actually save your files in case of when the data corrupts but yeah that really killed my payday 2 grind a lot ( especially back in the day you could only get attachments and cool masks by the card systems at the end of completed missions and losing these items which were bound with memories with friends was a big L for me)
If they can pull the amount of update like payday 2 maybe the game can be revive but right now payday 2 its better but its hard to compare because payday 2 had 10 years of constant update this game came out 1 year ago so i hope it gets better
Just want to mention that in October, the game will (hopefully) have a UI overhaul and server browser. Which means finding a game will be so much easier and user friendly. So if you've been holding out on trying it out again, I'd say wait a bit.
Awesome! I'm really hoping that, just like PAYDAY 2, they will create a Server Browser that allows any players to join DLC heists as long as someone else paid for them, and is hosting them openly. It was always a very nice way to fill / advertise lobbies, so it's a bit sad that there are so many barriers to do the same in PAYDAY 3...
Not anymore! Just like *@schlop* said, now the XP reward (IP) is given on heist completion, with a bonus if you get all bags in the heist (very nice), and also a bonus if you manage to finish in stealth.
