Spoiler: Wife Marie divorces her husband Nick because of her mom's influence after being married for many year. Mom got Marie to divorce Nick by constantly denigrating him. Mom just never liked Nick with no reason really given. Daughter Christine is getting married and wants her Dad Nick to walk her down the aisle. Marie and her Mom Elaine are dead set against Nick attending Christine's wedding in Los Angeles. Nick agrees to not to walk her down the aisle if Marie spends a weekend with him without the mom knowing and she permanently stops getting alimony. After spending the weekend together, Marie realized how manipulative her mom was in separating her from Nick. The mom gave Marie and the family the impression Nick never cared about them which was a lie. Marie found out Nick had constantly tried calling the family but was unaware of it. and all presents were returned via the mail. Marie decides to kick her mom out of the house and Nick move back in. Mom is upset and decides not to attend the wedding. They decide to have Christine's wedding at her fiancee's hometown in Vermont. On the day of the wedding, Elaine shows up at the wedding in Vermont. That actions shows that Elaine really loved her granddaughter Christine than being right. Marie and Nick also decided to get remarried.

What year was this exactly? I mean if she divorced him in 69 and this happened ten years later, in 79, where did the damn cellphone come from????
