This is a beautiful inlaid treasure chest style music box from Reuge of Switzerland. This was a floor demo piece and is being offered as "NEW/ OLD STOCK". The inlaid cabinet was made in Italy and features both Thuya wood and Rosewood in it's construction. The cabinet features a storage area next to the musical mechanism which will hold a total of 9 discs. The Swiss made Reuge AD-30 (automatic disc 30 tooth comb) brass plated musical mechanism plays metal 4-1/2" musical discs and has been professionally serviced and restored to "AS NEW" condition by the seller, Music Box Repair Center Unlimited, and comes with a seller provided 2 year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The musical mechanism features a winding key and a start/ stop lever. Included with this piece are two 5 disc sets of Thorens musical discs as well as an instruction sheet on how to use the musical mechanism.
