Fascinating!!! I think the boy would reconsider the fact that he believed himself to be similar to his father. What a father!!! His understanding of life is backwards. These types of people can never succeed socially. As far as the son is concerned,he seems like 16 ish and he is at an age where he can decide who wants to be: a father like in behaviour and conduct or himself as he will establish his own style of living.

The son had already shown ahigher degree of maturity compared to his father by over coming the barriers of contacting his father after a 3 yr absence then n negotiating an appointment through a n employee to see him. The first warning sign of what was too come, the son remained hopeful for any type of connection even a photo to prove that he tried. I think a child could take a way a lesson in belief in themselves to at least try even if you know the outcome
