You haven’t had much experience with other animals, monitor lizards are the same way almost, animals are the same as us especially ones with more developed brains they just lack the proper communication and thumbs I feel like to really get to the level we’re at as a civilization. @@yolo_2647 it’s a sedative that’s usually used to treat things like anxiety. Unfortunately, the comment I replied to is about an actual case where a chimp did do what’s described. Part of the reason why is because that chimp was regularly given Xanax.

But if they grow up with humans they learn to have more controll over their own feelings, at least if the humans are good parents and teach them right from wrong. My advice with cats is show no interest till they show interest in you than theyl be more keen to go up and show affection

Chimps should not be pets. And at any time they can snap, back in the day a couole had a chimp for years, they bathed with it, ate with it, slept with it. And for years they loved it. Anyway, years later he killed someone randomly. So yeah. That was also after reported cases of it being violent and biting people really badly, but the police were friends with the family so they didnt care.
