You have to cycle the tank before putting a fish in it!! It can take up to 2 weeks to cycle the tank. Please do some research or that fish will suffer. Fish are WAY harder to take care of than people think!! They also need a minimum of a 5 gallon tank and those plastic pants will tear a bettas fin. Also the coloured gravel can be toxic. Sorry to be so negative, but so many people get fish without knowing how to properly care for them.

You’re absolutely right. I blame the pet shops, they need to inform their customers more. They also need to stop selling crap that’s harmful to pets. I bought pet food from a pet shop thinking that because it is from a popular pet shop it will be healthy… but I was so wrong it wrecked my rabbits teeth and she had to be operated on 😔 It’s not completely Carlis fault we just trust these people who are supposed to know what they are doing but most of the time they don’t. Definitely do your research people or ask a vet

You can get a tire pump that powers off your 12v outlet (not sure if Teslas have those). But I keep one in my car and it saves me from having to go fill my air at a garage. Can just do it at home instead. It’s a tiny machine and costs about $30. You can just keep it in your car

I’ve had SEVERAL Bettas and I’ve kept them alive for quite awhile. My last one was around 5 when he passed. I just want to give you a suggestion on keeping them. Bettas have a mucus on their body and it gradually goes away after many water changes. You will keep your fish a LOT longer if you get the water conditioner that’s made for them. I’m hoping you got it when you bought the fish. It will keep them healthy.
