Such a wonderful video with so many ideas. Thank you for explaining all of the possibilities of uses for cloth, and certain fabrics for those uses. I love this video. Thank you for sharing it!
been using my unpaper towels for couple of years and absolutely love them. I add a layer of flannel on cotton fabric and back it with terry towel. I have also made one with waffle fabric. Think they are great both for wet and dry cleaning in house
Hi Claire, I’ve just come across your video and just love, I’ve never thought about sewing these, but when I was pregnant with all my children I did actually make nursing pads which were amazing. What a great way to save the environment. Thanks for your video. From Suzie in Queensland Australia.
Hello Claire. Loved this. Okay, I do know how to make all these things. However I think your tutorials are great and I always recommend them to people who ask which videos to watch. So yes, I would love to see a tutorial.
hi Claire. I'd love to see a tutorial. it sounds easy enough but I would also be nice to actually watch the process. also another video I'd love to see would be wet bag/pad wrapper tutorial if you are so inclined to make it. x
you probably dont give a shit but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@Sutton Kenzo Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I have been using cloth tp for over a year. I love it. I have a small flip top wastecan (which have a removable bucket liner) in each bathroom....I toss used cloths in them. Have never had any odor issues or any other issues.
I live alone and just have a wastebasket lined with a plastic bag. Never noticed any smell. I do relocate the basket if company comes. Cuz there are lots of people who think it's icky. And I just use them for pee
@@judyjohnson9610 the flip top can is a great solution. I only use cloth to for #1, too. I keep the cloths in a clothespin bag which I hang on the toilet paper holder.
@@patwagner9308 I love not worrying about running out. I was laughing at the Great Toilet Paper buyout in March. I still had one huge package that I had purchased in the fall that I hadn't opened yet and another that was fairly full. I also had a full pantry pretty much
@@judyjohnson9610 Using cloth has made a difference in how often we need tp...I've used cloth for over 3 years & would never go back. I don't find anything about it that's icky. My husband & I almost ran out of to last March...but me using cloth helped enormously.
@@patwagner9308 well, if your washer or water supply goes down, having a stash of TP is good. Or if you all get sick and laundry goes on the back burner
i love the ideas of reusable unpaper towels. It is common to use cloth/towel here in the kitchen to wipe tables and counter top. i am still adjusting for toilet towel. it is a great idea to spread this around. there are many things that aren't suppose to be disposables but reusable.
I find that people balk at the first thought of cloth toilet wipes. But, once you start with using them for pee wipes, it becomes easy. My suggestion is to test a corner of the material to see how absorbant it is, before you start cutting. Not all cotton, flannel is absorbant and you want it to be absorbant or you will become discouraged.
I love your videos. I was just wondering how you store the really dirty different cloths until you wash them, how you wash them to ensure germs are killed and if you wash different types of dirty cloths together. I'm thinking specifically kitchen towels and cleaning cloths for the bathroom, etc. I tend to use paper towels for dirtier jobs but would convert to cloth if I could be assured that they could be properly cleaned.
thank you :-) I store my kitchen and bathroom cloth in wet bags once they are dirty. one hangs in each room and I wash them on a 60 in the machine which kills any germs that could be on there. I tend to store them up before washing so I would do all my tea towels, Unpaper kitchen towel and unsponges in a wash and if I had some bathroom ones chuck them in too. I don't use cloth to clean the loo so anything used in the bathroom for floor/surface cleaning etc is fine to all go in together. then I wash my wipes, cloth pads and liners on a long 30 wash in the machine together (check out my pads wash routine video). Hope that helps :-)
I would imagine something like microfibre would be best for that. Im not a bowler myself though so i would look into what the cloths you buy are made from :-)
I loved this entire video...and was also wondering about the paper towel holder and reusing that with the cloth. But the thought of wiping my counters, sinks, spills (wherever) with a cloth with snaps I am cringing. Wouldn't dragging snaps while wiping up, put scratches on some of these surfaces? You talked about all these supersoft fabrics and then those snaps. I would be concerned!
